Decent game, 3-1 finish. The midfield needs work. De Ligt picking up where he left off last season as our best CB.
Ramsey looked surprisingly well at the base of the midfield 3 and dare I say, Berna looked useful as a CM?! I expect that same midfield against Udinese. Hopefully Locatelli comes in this week and is able to start contributing as soon as possible.
Oh, and Dybala really looked like he was up for it against Atalanta. I started getting vintage Dybala feelings watching him and his confidence be so dangerous. Great game for the team to build on after the Barca spanking and before the start of the league.
Interesting quote for Cherubini from an interview "When we approached Haaland we were at the start of the u23 project and the prospect we could offer him was, in his eyes, less attractive. Today we'd be equipped to answer the question 'what are my prospects if I sign for you?"
So far he looks the real deal. But we have seen several Bundesliga wunderkinds fall off dramatically when they left that league. Still, I think if we can we should sign him.
He's not just a bundesliga scorer, dude scored in the CL like its nobodies business. He's the real deal, fastest and youngest to 20 CL goals.
The club lawyers are at work to sort out the final details for Dybala's contract until 2025. Agreement reached for a deal worth around 8mln€ + plus bonus.[@romeoagresti / @GoalItalia] pic.twitter.com/AHjSil2QXQ— Bianconeri Zone (@BianconeriZone) October 4, 2021
Have any of you seen news about Ihatteran? Apparently he was sent home to Utrecht to get things straightened out by Sampdoria. He missed multiple training days. I've only seen one article in the Dutch press but it seems that he is in need of help to get things fixed with his life. This is sad as he really is a talented player and could become a contributor to Juve.
The report I read said that he went home for personal reasons and Samp wasn't happy he left, they've also found him to be very unprofessional since he arrived there. It's only the middle of October and this is how he's acting already, get rid of him in January.
I assume you're thinking about the Netflix series? If so, no this is something new. Amazon has done it with a few English teams already and possibly a German one (maybe). This is the first Italian team they've done it with.
Hmmmm....this looks like it could be trouble. Though how they can "establish" a "value" different from what the clubs value traded players at is beyond me. It would be totally arbitrary as each player has a unique value to each club unless he is acquired via and release clause. More opportunity for authorities to insert themselves and selectively enforce stuff against clubs they want to hit, much like FFP turned out to be: https://football-italia.net/arthur-...iggest-serie-a-transfers-under-investigation/
https://www.sportbible.com/football...idering-retirement-due-to-depression-20211103 I hope Ihattaren can get the help he needs. This is a shame as he is very talented.
I saw a tweet that he isn't contemplating retirement, he just doesn't want to be in Genoa playing for Samp. Obviously isn't ideal, maybe Samp can terminate the loan, he can help the U-23's get promoted and Juve can send Han Nicolussi-Caviglia to Samp now that he has recovered from his ACL surgery. Hope the kid gets his stuff situated, I can't imagine losing a father while your career is just getting started. Hoping for the best.
