  3. Barcelona is in such a disarray that for top players it isnot a dream destination anymore.
Telling in that status is that Memphis is lauded in Spain/Barcelona for making the choice as he could move to any other club too with better pay because of his transfer free status.

  4. It has been mentioned by me some time ago that Barca has breaks on signing new players because of the La Liga wage bill constraint imposed on Barca.
It's telling of the deluded state their management is in that they kept on signing players while they were far from complying to the restraints of La Liga.

    Wonder who Depay's agent is.
You really need to know your shit when bringing a player to a club.
    Edit:
    That 200,000 is 200 million

  5. That posturing by Laporte with Koeman in or out turns out to be laughable as they couldnot afford to sack him and sign a new coach as that would raise the wage bill instead of bringing it down.
Wonder how long Barcelona still has as a superclub.
Not that long anymore I guess.

Barnsley co-owners Pacific Media Group go Dutch! The US-based investors have agreed a deal to buy second-tier side Den Bosch, which means they now own stakes in six clubs from S Yorkshire to Switzerland. They’re not stopping there, either.

Don’t know which thread to stick this… but anyway, ESPN+ now has the broadcasting right for Spain La Liga. That means folks in the USA, if subscribe, can enjoy Frenkie de Jong, Memphis, Cillessen, and of course, the crowd’s favorite… Luukinho!! :D:p

They have been advertising this like crazy. I hope it does not mean that Eredivisie matches in the US will be discontinued!!

He may not make it through the season.

  13. Well, in that case he's available to succeed LvG.

    Is that a good thing?

  15. We get Bert van Marwijk as whisperer for the same price.
By the way Voetbal International analysed the Orange coaches and BvM had the highest winning % of them all, 67% iirc.

  16. This quote is epic:
,,Natuurlijk heb ik een explosieve aard”, bevestigt Hyballa zijn vurige karakter. ,,Maar ooit zei ik als jeugdtrainer van Mario Götze dat hij dikke tieten had. Hij keek me aan, knikte, ging de fitnessruimte in en kwam in topvorm terug. Onze relatie was geweldig. Het is ook met een knipoog bedoeld, als ik zoiets zeg. Humor. In Duitsland kan dat. In Nederland volgt een ‘ja, maar’ en gaan ze aan de slag. En in Denemarken hoor je niets.”

Rumors are Messi off to PSG for 2 years @ 40 million Euro per season.
Looks like PSG are trying to buy themselves the CL title.
I'll laugh my head off if they still don't manage to win it :ROFLMAO:

  18. I'm beginning to favour ManCity to win it, just because of that, plus I grant Kevin de Bruyne a CL title he deserves as being the best player on the planet for at least the last four years.

    Brilliant Dutch repped this.
  19. Seems neither PSV nor Ajax are taking the "Johan Cruijff Schaal" very seriously.
If clubs make it into a farce, let's just abandon the whole thing, as this attitude is an insult to Johan Cruijff.
Wonder how the English clubs think about the equivalent "Charity Shield"?

    ????????
Not my impression from actually watching the match!

  21. From comments before the match it was like they were going to treat it like a preseason prep match.
So good they either changed their minds or just were trying to create a fog around their true intentions.

  22. Fitting tribute to Johan Cruijff that Götze won his 14th trophee in the Johan Cruijff Arena with the Johan Cruijff Shield.
