The entire top 5 EPL teams are crap. The whole league is going downhill fast.
Watched Leicester 2 days ago and almost fell asleep.
And they are tied in 2nd place right now.
Chelsea suck too. Rumors are Lampard is out

  2. All those would be superleague clubs suck to the hilt atm.
Man, if they did start that league last season, they would be in deeeep trouble.

the only team I watch in the EPL is Leeds as I am a big Marcelo Bielsa fan. they have been quite poor in recent games. Dutch and German football matches are the ones I mainly watch and are the most entertaining.

The rest of Europe should be grateful Ajax got sucked dry when we got looted for Frenkie, deLigt.......etc.

Ajax would probably win a CL within the next 2 to 3 years if the big clubs hadnt come calling for our top homegrown talents

Managing Chelsea is impossible. Here is Guardiola's comment,

"All managers, you have to win," Guardiola told a news conference on Monday. "People talk about projects but they don't exist. You have to win or you'll be sacked. Respect for Chelsea but hopefully I can see him soon, take him to a restaurant to see him again when lockdown is over."

Hey, if Abramovich wants to pay me €30 million over 3 years I too will happily fail in my 1st year and keep collecting on my contract for 2 years after that.

Doesnt sound so bad to me :D

  13. Don't think so, as the players have no obligations towards Ajax anymore. I would have expected that Ajax has demanded a bank guarantee for the debt.

If they went bankrupt, would they not have to sell their assets (players, even stadium) to pay creditors including teams that they owe transfer fees to?

Probably, but I think Barca falls into the "too big to fail" category and either the government or some multi-billionaire will bail them out at some point

  16. If they went bankrupt, they will have no players left. As the news has mentioned they owe players money. Once you owe players money for a given time, the player has the right to nullify the contract and goes on transferfree.

  21. Unclesox Helmond Cup updates:

    A few Helmond Cup updates:

    Stuttgart 2:2 Borussia Mönchengladbach

    Borussia Mönchengladbach 1:0 Werder Bremen

    Borussia Mönchengladbach 4:2 Borussia Dortmund

    Union Berlin 1:1 Borussia Mönchengladbach

    VfB Stuttgart 1:2 Borussia Mönchengladbach

Nice, first time holding the Helmond for Koln I believe? Plus 4 points clear of the drop zone / playoff now.

    All is forgiven. [IMG]

Not only did the three points help move them further away from the drop zone...
Not only was this win achieved against their fierce regional rivals...
Not only did this victory make up for getting knocked out of the DFB-Pokal by a second division side...
This crucial triumph also brought to 1. FC Köln a trophy that not even Real Madrid can claim to have ever placed their soiled grubby hands on: The important, prominent, impressive, respected, famed, much celebrated and prestigious trophy known to man in the history of not only civilization but of the entire Universe itself - The Helmond Cup.
Tis a grand day, indeed! [IMG]

    Helmond Cup update:

    Borussia Mönchengladbach 1:2 Köln

Helmond Cup update: Eintracht Frankfurt 2:0 Köln :(
Well, it was nice while it lasted. At least Köln are on the list of winners. Next: Saturday 20 February Bundesliga, 22. Spieltag Eintracht Frankfurt v Bayern Munich ...
