End of the line for Xavi https://www.telegraaf.nl/sport/2133740022/fc-barcelona-maakt-einde-aan-soap-en-ontslaat-trainer-xavi
Blind already signed a contract extension. Girona are not guaranteed a CL spot right now because they are owned in part by the same group that owns ManCity. ManCity by virtue of a better record would go into the CL over Girona. I posted a link to The Swiss Ramble's post today that goes over all this. The simplest way out is for the Ownership group put it's stock in Girona in a blind trust that cannot be broken until after next season.
ten Hag did a masterful job of getting his team ready to play today. It may have been his last match and if so he goes out on a big high. Don't think he was really at fault this season as there were a lot of injuries to deal with.
Two trophies in two years. I mean, that’s something for sure. He deserves more time but I’m sure he’s not going to get it.
Good game! If Haaland doesn't hit the crossbar I think City win the game. Sports can be a matter of inches sometimes. Also, I don't see how changing the manager every 2 years is going to make any difference. I hope ETH stays
Didn’t Louis Van Gaal get fired a day (or two) after he guided Man Utd to FA Cup glory some years ago? Ten Haag will seemingly get that same fate. Shameful treatment by the club if you ask me.
Bayern want Xavi for 90 mill. That would be a great move for him https://www.telegraaf.nl/sport/7737...derlander-maken-90-miljoen-euro-ligt-op-tafel
That sum, whoa! I believe that would make him the most expensive Dutch player... I think Xavi would be better off staying in Bundesliga (he is also rumored to Man Utd), given his familiarity to the league. The only downside, of course, is that he may not be winning any trophy at Bayern, due to Harry Kane curse
Holy shit, €1bn over five years. Thats tax free money too That will be hard to say no to https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...Spanish-giants-demand-1-BILLION-sell-him.html
Money will come from "Public Investment Fund". When the oil money is all gone, the Arabian peninsula will revert to just a sand box, with only memories of Ronaldo and other "stars". Too bad they don't know how to invest to diversify their economy.
Whoa Neverlusen lost at home after leading 2-0 (first goal by Frimpong). Leipzig roared back to score the next three goals, even without their coach, who was red-carded midway first half. Looked like Xavi got a decent rating!
190769 https://www.vi.nl/nieuws/jubilaris-muller-wendt-zich-in-een-interview-plotseling-tot-van-gaal Thomas Müller has complimented his former coach Louis van Gaal. The 34-year-old German was Sunday for Bayern Munich against Freiburg on target and revealed the secret behind his goal. That was something Van Gaal once taught him.
I dont expect anything to come of this. Money talks and bullshit walks. I wouldnt be surprised if the FA were paid hush money by City's owners https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c1d7drg10nwo
191565 Wow. Saw on tv a guy, who's knowledgeable about Brasilian football and you wonder what happened to Memphis's brain. The club's bankaccounts are locked, so they can't pay from those, have about 350 million€€ or $$ due next year to pay off, the top sponsor's board is in jail and the club is in spot 17 of 20 and the last 4 relegate. I can't escape the feeling he's on an ego trip, being celebrated as a superstar.
