Tottenham Spurs are going to ruin some lives Virgil Van Dijk has been so, so good all season long, I hope he gets to lift the trophy… with Klopp leaving and he’s in the wrong side of 30’s, there may not be another chance after this season!
How did you watch Ajax matches from 1969 to 2010?? Did you live in NL?? Because AFAIK Ajax games werent shown in the US until 2010 or so
Luck you. You got to watch the great Ajax team of the 70's. I was barely even born back then https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsl...-the-greatest-teams-of-all-time-ajax-1971-73/
I did too, together with Ajax fans next to me in the stands, while we "discussed" who was better,Israel/Laseroms or Blankenburg/.. Think about it, we were sleeping in front of the cigaretteshops together with Ajax fans to get a ticket for "de Klassieker"!!
They were on occasionally in like the mid/late 90s. I definitely remember watching them on like espn2 or something like that?
182915 https://www.vi.nl/nieuws/bijna-niemand-in-europa-scoort-zoveel-als-mikautadze Hardly anyone in Europe scores as much as Mikautadze Before Lille tilted the game in his favor, Mikautadze once again demanded attention. With a tight shot from a penalty kick, he scored his eleventh goal in seventeen Ligue 1 games. And that's not the only statistic that speaks volumes about the productivity of the Ajax flop. The average of Mikautadze, who also provided three assists in Ligue 1, is now higher than last season. Then he led Metz to promotion in Ligue 2 and earned a transfer to Amsterdam. Once again, the 23-year-old Georgian carries the weight of the team on his shoulders: Metz's last six goals have been off his foot. In the previous two league games, his goals yielded six points in the battle for survival.
Slot wants to sign Summerville if/when he takes over at Pool https://www.voetbalzone.nl/nieuws/s...er-als-eerste-topaankoop-bij-liverpool/434081
183188 Wow, vd Ven with agreat clearing, but that Chelsea nr 20 dude produces an impossible miss for bouncing the ball into the empty goal.
183960 SC Cambuur will play its last match ever on Friday against Helmond Sport at the place that has been the beating football heart of Leeuwarden since 1936. Reporter and Cambuur supporter Wietse Dijkstra nostalgically reminisces about the stadium that will be exchanged after the summer for a brand new home on the other side of the city. https://www.ad.nl/nederlands-voetba...adion-in-de-geest-van-oekie-hoekema~a3f6cd20/
Oh dear. Babangida recovering from a car accident, in which he lost his brother and his 1 yo kid. Strength to you Babangida in coping with these immeasurable losses. Edit: His wife was also injured and lost an eye.
184334 https://www.ad.nl/buitenlands-voetb...roomtransfer-naar-borussia-dortmund~afd69f59/ Amateur of stunt team Hercules makes dream transfer to Borussia Dortmund Jordi Paulina has a dream transfer. The 19-year-old attacking midfielder is still under contract with amateur club USV Hercules, but will move to Borussia Dortmund on July 1. He initially joins Dortmund's Under-23 team, playing in the Third Bundesliga. Sports editors 15-05-24, 18:01 Last update: 20:00 The German Champions League finalist announced that news on Wednesday. Paulina played in the youth at VV Jonathan and FC Utrecht, before moving to Hercules. He is now in his third year with the Utrecht third divisionist. This season, he scored nine goals in 26 games. In addition, Paulina was part of the team that pulled off a huge upset against Ajax earlier this season. Shortly before the winter break, Hercules knocked the ailing Amsterdam team out of the Toto KNVB Cup. Paulina was in the starting line-up and provided the assist for teammate Tim Pieters' opening goal.
Julian Nagelsmann named 27 players in his provisional roster. No Leon Goretzka, Serge Gnabry, Mats Hummels, Julian Brandt, Niklas Sule, Karim Adeyemi, Timo Werner (Gnabry and Werner injured?). 4 young players, Pavlovic 20, Wirtz 21, Musiala 21 and Beier 21. Not an easy draw, possibly Denmark or England in round of 16, Spain/Italy in QF, Portugal or Netherlands in SF. This Germany may not go far this time. For Netherlands, the road to SF seems to be easier if can win group D. Goalkeepers: Oliver Baumann (Hoffenheim), Alex Nubel (Stuttgart), Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich), Marc-Andre ter Stegen (Barcelona) Defenders: Waldemar Anton (Stuttgart), Benjamin Henrichs (RB Leipzig), Joshua Kimmich (Bayern Munich), Robin Koch (Eintracht Frankfurt), Maximilian Mittelstadt (Stuttgart), David Raum (RB Leipzig), Antonio Rudiger (Real Madrid), Nico Schlotterbeck (Borussia Dortmund), Jonathan Tah (Bayer Leverkusen) Midfielders: Robert Andrich (Bayer Leverkusen), Chris Fuhrich (Stuttgart), Pascal Gross (Brighton and Hove Albion), Ilkay Gundogan (Barcelona), Toni Kroos (Real Madrid), Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich), Aleksandar Pavlovic (Bayern Munich), Leroy Sane (Bayern Munich), Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen) Forwards: Maximilian Beier (Hoffenheim), Niclas Fullkrug (Borussia Dortmund), Kai Havertz (Arsenal), Thomas Muller (Bayern Munich), Deniz Undav (Stuttgart)
The front line players for Germany are only average and won't pose much of a threat. I have no clue why Brandt was not selected, he's a solid multi-purpose MF. Weird.
Piroe and Summerville scored today against Norwich. One more hurdle after this and they'll be back in the Premiership
Crazy ending for relegation in BL. Union Berlin get a penalty in 93rd minute to stay up. Köln and Darmstadt go down. As I said before, relegation battles are often much more fun to watch then the title itself. EDIT: Malen and Simons scored 1 goal each as well
