The argentinians have shown themselves to be such sad characters. Constantly taking every comment from rival teams out of context to bitch about disrespect, but at the same time being 100x more disrespectful themselves. Their view of their own actions during this WC are so tinted it is insane. Really an extremely dislikeable group of players, and the fans online haven't been any better. Going forward Argentinia has been added to the 'shit-list' of countries I will root against.
I'll be tuning into Pool games regularly now. I hope he doesnt flop. I dont think he will though Klopp has said that there is a chance Cody Gakpo could play against Brentford tomorrow, but his paperwork would need to be completed by 12pm tomorrow for him to be eligible.— Anfield Edition (@AnfieldEdition) January 1, 2023 🚨 Reports are saying Cody Gakpo’s registration and paper work have been completed ✅. Therefore if selected, Cody could make his Liverpool debut against Brentford today 💪🙌🔴 #LFC #Gakpo #BRELIV pic.twitter.com/BpK7B9d41Y— Tee 🔴 (@Tee025s) January 2, 2023

Gotta get him ready for the derby https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...Wout-Weghorst-Saturdays-Manchester-derby.html
Very interesting team that will be dangerous opposition in the knockout rounds of the Champions League. Roster is filled with many unknowns from non powerhouse countries like Georgia, Kosovo, Slovakia, North Macedonia, to name a few. They won’t be pushovers and seem to be growing in confidence.
He has only played 10 games so far, goes to show how quickly English fans can get on a player. Gakpo better be aware
Yeah, but about 50/50 pro and contra a player is I think because ManUnited sucks for years on end now. You willnot find that same attitude with clubs that had huge successes in this decade.
Juve caught cheating again. Docked 15 points. They can forget about the CL next year https://www.ad.nl/buitenlands-voetb...talianen-moeten-15-punten-inleveren~aa18c842/
Watching Chelsea and liverpool. Gakpo is trying hard but he ain't receiving quality balls. Servicing is bad. Playing as striker and dropping deep to win ball while nobody is in the box during attack phases just is painfully to watch. Few descent shots and that's it. Liverpool lacking quality in general. Injuries also not helping klopp.
If klopp continues to use gakpo as a striker, its surely will be a long road for him. Worst case scenario might fade out with competition. Gakpo's one downfall is him being in efficient on of his left foot. You cannot just be one dimensional in epl and depay was very much in the same boat when he came to epl. Gakpo has to accept he won't receive it on the plate like he used to get in eredivisie. On a positive note when Nunez came on, they combined well. I mean if you look at that mudrky guy when he came on for Chelsea, he looked dangerous going outside . He looked fluent on both foot and with speed.
That American owner is a big idiot. No way is EF worth that much money https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...ndez-bid-105m-english-transfer-record-benfica
They use the trick of a 7 or an 8 year contract. As such they can spread the transfer sum over a couple of years more. Because of this the UEFA is going to amend the rules, iirc by limiting the depreciation time to 5 years.
Watched Remis vs PSG. PSG started with with 4-4-2 which meant Remis had an extra man in the midfield and hence they dominated in that department particularly when defending. PSG took to the flanks instead to attack mostly with neymar and Mbappe running the lines. While PSG dominated possession and attack, Remis held their own in defense and frustrated the PSG attackers with good breaking down tackling. I was particularly interested in seeing Matusiwa. Started at RCM and while he was not a dominant figure , his linking up and positional awareness was excellent. Like I said PSG mostly played on the wings and hence Remis midfielders were mostly running up and down when pSG attacked and once they were foiled by the defenders , the midfielders were the outlet to move the ball forward. This was often where Matusiwa was largely involved. In terms of break downs, hardly saw anything. Again it was due to how PSG played. Played deep at times and in the Second half switched to the left. I can see him comfortably playing along side frenkie in NT. Vision, passing, breakdowns. Worth investing in him. A bit of Davids esque. Mitchell Van Bergen also made a good impact off the bench in the last 10 minutes but by then PSG were playing with 10 man after Verratti got a red card. Has a good speed but nothing technical apart from being able to use both his foot. Put in some teasing crosses but PSG defenders were up to it to clear it away.
