Season 3 will begin airing on Hulu either later this year or early next year. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
"The Orville Finally Wraps Filming of Season 3 for Hulu, Seth MacFarlane Not Ruling Out Additional Seasons" (TVLine.com - Wednesday, 8/11/21) (Courtesy of Fox) GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
I do as well. Seth is reportedly a huge Star Trek fan and in fact came to the current Star Trek producers a few years back to pitch his ideas to revive the franchise (at the time, there'd been no new Star Trek on TV since Star Trek: Enterprise ended in 2005), but they turned him and his ideas down. FOX then offered him the chance at creating an ST-like show and many have argued that thus far, The Orville has hewed closer to the spirit of the previous Star Treks than either Star Trek: Discovery or Star Trek: Picard have (the current ST producers are now promising that the upcoming Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will return the franchise back to that original spirit). In any case, it seems that this season of The Orville on Hulu will have eleven episodes, fewer than in each of the first two seasons on FOX but that each new episode will be about 10-15 minutes longer. Even with the return date having been pushed back from March 10th to June 2nd, I still can't wait! GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Just finished watching this season's first episode, "Electric Sheep". Man, was it a lot deeper than I thought it would be (though in a good way)! I can't wait for next week's episode. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
