Premier League - Matchday 11 Tottenham Hotspur vs. The Arsenal New Shite Hart Lane North London, London, England Sunday December 6th, 2020 TV: Peacock Premium (USA), 11:30 am ET/8:30 am PT, Sky Sports (UK) 4:30 pm GMT Well fellow Gooners, The grand daddy of them all, The iconic North London Derby is here!!! Yes we return to the new digs built on that very same shit football ground where the old piece of crap once stood, in which we clinched the League title twice before (1971, 2004) Well, I also know that the Basketball Chickens (a.k.a Shit) are on top of the League right now, looking almost unbeatable during this season, and they are clicking on all cylinders under the dreaded Jose Mourinho, and a much dreaded name in the history of this fixture makes his NLD return, and I am talking about none other than "The World's Most Expensive Player" himself, Gareth Bale, on loan from Real Madrid, and of course, Harry F'n' Kane and they are solidly backed up by GK Hugo Lloris. I am sure looking forward to this tilt, I will be watching and hopefully Cindy Margolis and her 3 kids will be watching as well, as I am going to post a link to this thread on her official Facebook page, who knows, maybe you just might see me (in my vintage red/white O2-sponsored shirt I will be wearing while I watch), using the hashtag #MyPLMornings in order to get my mug on TV We NEED this win badly, I know that we are not in such great shape right about now, limping into this fixture in 14th in the League, in which was once unheard of for this great club, but we'll be coming in knowing if we can keep the momentum going from our win over Rapid Vienna in the Europa League back on Thursday, I think we can do this!!! Hopefully Mikel Arteta will have us ready to perhaps steal all 3 points out of New Shite Hart Lane!!! COYF'n'G!!! LET'S DO THIS!!!
Fitting that you kick off this match thread, BIGHMW. Would love to see your streak continue. I’m not expecting any points. I just can’t shake the feeling that Spuds will get at least 1 soft PK decision, and it’s hard to see our offense regaining form in this one. it really comes down to Arteta’s selection, formation, and tactics. Spuds play for the counter-attacks, so if we are either disciplined in our attack, or force them to come at us, then I think we have a chance...
How can you not smile when you watch that 2nd vid? Before the game starts, I think I’d be pretty thrilled at 1 point. After KO let’s see!
Crucial game for Arteta A bad loss would really see him in big trouble IMO. 3 points doesn't even get us in the top 10, but with the packed table it puts us in touch. I think a loss sees us 5 points off the top 6 but they have a game in hand ....
Hopefully the NLD will be a Partey today. It says Holding is chosen to partner Gabriel which implies a back 4. I really expected Arteta to go back to a back 3 for this match. 📋 Our north London derby team news is in!🇬🇭 @ThomasPartey22 returns🏴 @RobHolding95 chosen to partner Gabriel🏴 @BukayoSaka87 also starts#️⃣ #TOTARS— Arsenal (@Arsenal) December 6, 2020
Really hope it's a back 4, and I hope Xhaka exceeds my expectations. Besides Xhaka and Willian, this is basically my first-choice XI.
F---ing fascinated to see how we look in attack. Past Arsenal trauma leads me to think Partey has come back too soon and is at risk for reinjury.
It's bad-good-bad news that Luiz isn't in the squad today. Bad, because we seem at our best playing a 3 at back, when he's at center. Good, because it shows the club is taking his health seriously. Bad, because it seems to support the theory that they risked his health by letting him play on for 40' last Sunday. Edit: I don't mean to assume too much about the line-up. Based on our players I could see 3-4-3, 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1. But chances are it'll be that fluid thing were it oscillates between 2 & 3 CB's. Anyway... COYG!!!!
Myself as well, they had the same thing back on Thursday vs. Rapid Vienna, it's great to see fans in the stands again (albeit only 2,000 of them) it sounded like I was watching a game show with all the added "enhancements" in place.
