🚨 NEW: Dominic Cummings partly leaked the Partygate video to bring down Boris Johnson Before Cummings left No 10 as his Chief Adviser, Johnson asked him: "Are you threatening me?"Cummings replied: "Yes, I'm f**king threatening you"[@ShippersUnbound] pic.twitter.com/ERru2f2pEn— Politics UK (@PolitlcsUK) November 9, 2024
Makes you wonder why these people never realise they couldn't trust each other, doesn't it. It's obvious they're all thinking, 'I'll stab that fecker in the back to get ahead', without realising that's what the other guy's thinking about YOU.
Yeah, two of the most unscrupulous people in the country working together was always going to end with the smarter one ultimately having the last laugh.
This whole thread is bonkers NEW: Queen Elizabeth II thought Boris Johnson "better suited to the stage" than politics and two days before her death, after he resigned, she told a senior courtier in jest: "At least that idiot won't be organising my funeral." 1/ https://t.co/VoXvjib8BN— Tim Shipman (@ShippersUnbound) November 10, 2024
That makes me think The Crown should have gone on to the end of her reign. Don’t know who would’ve played Boris Johnson, though.
John Prescott has died. How many current MPs would be able to do this? Feels like a lost art. John Prescott downing a pint in under five seconds pic.twitter.com/DhR3Qkq0i6— ModSocDem (@mod_soc_dem) May 16, 2024
Badenoch starting well Kemi Badenoch at #PMQs: "We had a budget in March this year and tractors were not blockading the streets of Whitehall afterwards." Here are the tractors blockading the streets of Whitehall in March, protesting - you really couldn't make this up - Badenoch's trade policies. 😂 pic.twitter.com/6KDPJzH9GQ— Alex Andreou (@sturdyAlex) November 27, 2024
She's on a roll. 2019: “More than 10,000 people in the constituency of Saffron Walden have signed a petition to revoke Article 50 and remain in the EU - the highest number of signatures in Essex - but MP Kemi Badenoch says ‘we run the country based on elections and not petitions’.”🤣😂🤣 https://t.co/VgvU6yTTjn pic.twitter.com/X8PiOkKKbR— Alex Andreou (@sturdyAlex) November 27, 2024 Today's biggest self own comes - again - from Kemi Badenoch pic.twitter.com/gOdD2skc3d— dave lawrence 🐟🐟🐠 (@dave43law) November 27, 2024
It really shouldn't be this easy As it happens I was leading a debate in Parliament on the UK fishing industry while you were tweeting this Richard - it is a shame no one from Reform had the time to join. There is more to life than Twitter! https://t.co/DV6px2YAGN— Alistair Carmichael MP (@amcarmichaelMP) November 28, 2024
There has never been a more thin-skinned MP. Unable to stand up to any sort of scrutiny. Farage admits his MP James McMurdock... jailed 18 years ago for repeatedly kicking his girlfriend... "wasn't vetted" ....before adding: "I've got one million Tik Tok followers... you've had your fun" and flouncing off.pic.twitter.com/xPUUHUiZsM— Otto English (@Otto_English) November 28, 2024
I like the way he adds that Andrea Jenkyns has just joined them. You'd think he'd want to keep quiet about that.
For all the fuss about the channel crossings, they only make up around 2-3% of the total immigration figures. The vast majority come to jobs or to study.
My old Tory MP was crowing on social media about how it was Tory policies that got immigration down from 900k to 700k. He didn't respond when asked if they also take the credit for getting the figures to that level in the first place.
Even for those people entirely relaxed by immigration that does seem quite a lot of people, doesn't it
It's why Sunak was very bad at politics. He choose to centralise an issue he couldn't control, that is of low significance. He'd be better to have create safe crossing options to take it out of the headlines so the far right couldn't use it with the added bonus that people wouldn't die.
Yeah, exactly. It's a complete non-issue. Obviously nobody wants people drowning in the channel but it's got sod-all to do with immigration as a 'problem' although it's important to remember that, over the years, the UK has had similar levels of immigration to other developed western countries... https://migrationobservatory.ox.ac....rnational-migration-flows-to-and-from-the-uk/ Although we now know some of those figures from last year weren't accurate.
Frogface is now getting angry about "left wing" milk. Semi-skimmed milk is "left wing" says Nigel Farage, confirming once and for all what a ridiculous, whinging, out of touch frog-faced bellend he is. pic.twitter.com/L1mChEDFrz— Parody Keir Starmer (@Parody_PM) December 2, 2024
Could be worse.. The person that Trump nominated to run the US's Food and Drug Administration believes that pasteurizing milk is part of the nanny state and wants to remove the FDA regulation prohibiting grocery stores from selling raw milk.
I'm reminded of some years ago when Chinese consumers cleared the shelves in Hong Kong of baby formula because the formula in China had adulturants. We will need to do the same to shelves in Canada, Europe and Mexico for food in general.
