It is remarkable that the man is back to playing...after all that he has been through. With that said...I just thought I should start up a thread to follow up his progress as he tries to resurrect his United career.

Knee ligament injuries starting in 2004 at the FA Cup win in May 2004. He has been out since then (18 months or so) and is now getting his return and we are all hoping he can get one more goal (hopefully in the European Cup.. again).

    no worries lol

but i mean i love him ive seen old games with him and i cant remember watching them live but i guess my real question is why is he so sentimental in the lives of united fans? is it just because he's the one "who put the ball in the German's net" or is it because of his baby face lol. I know he was always showed up even though he didnt start and when he came on he was amazing but im wondering if im missing anything on him.

ps. this has got me thinking is there a manchester united history thread? or if i made one would people post and help out the young man utd fans like me, with there history

His problems actually go back further than that, to the September 2003 CL match against Panathinaikos. That was the last time he got in a run of games for the first team.

Not sure if it was the exact same injury, but it was always described as a recurrence of his knee problem that kept him out of almost all of the 03-04 season.

Ole has excellent technics and is the most intelligent, versatile United player with ability to change the game - a good example for young players to follow, he was the caption of Norway National Team before knee injury.

Hope he will get his full strength back soon.
