I was really indifferent to Ohio St before this season. In fact I usually even cheered for them against Michigan. But this year i can't stand them, maybe it's cause I think that Iowa would kick their ass, Maybe it's cause if they even played a team like Alcorn St on the road it would come down to the last play. Maybe it's cause they had 8 or 9 home games this year and the road games they have struggled with are against the bottom barrell big 10 teams. Maybe it's cause I'm an ND fan and I still haven't gotten over the BC loss so I wish no joy for any other football fans this season.

It's been ahile since I've posted but I've got to say something.

    12-0.

You guys make it sound like the Big Ten is the freaking Nothern Virginia Pee Wee league.

ND struggled against some teams and they win and everyone's like "ooohh, the glory's back!"

OSU struggles and wins, and everyone's like" they are the worst 12-0 team in the country!"

    Please.

Iowa would not "kick their ass." It would be a great game to watch, don't get me wrong.

But the Buckeyes are 12-0 and that's all that matters.

TEXAS AIN'T GOING TO A BCS BOWL! I guess the Cotton Bowl will have to do.

Not like Wisconsin is doing anything tough.

Especially since how many teams are 12-0 right now?

I know but some people still think that Texas is number 1, had to spell it out for them.

Did we learn nothing from the Baltimore Ravens' Super Bowl season? DOMINATING defenses cure a lot of offensive woes.

But are they the worst 12-0 team ever? How about BYU last year before they got crushed by Hawaii? Or the 1984 BYU "national champions?"

I like nothing better than having my boys from Ann Arbor marching down to Columbus to put another whoopin' on the Nuteyes in their home stadium. I am so glad that they keep winning so that we can knock them out of the title picture...AGAIN.

Bellisari could be the key factor this year. I'm looking for Charles Woodson to come up big for the maize and blue.

Don't forget all the OSU players talking smack before the big game. I think Terry Glenn will speak up this year, maybe get David Boston. Nothing like talking trash before the big game. I'm worried about the A Train and Henson.

Yeah, they've got a hell of an offensive line this season. That Gerald Ford can really block. He's got some future.

God, how awful is Musberger gonna be this Saturday?!

Now that's something Buckeyes and Wolverines can agree on

As much as I hated it, Jacksin calling Howard's return for a td was pretty cool, with the pose.

    "Hello Heisman"

    Still sucked though.

But Musburger, GAWD. "HOLY BUCKEYE" was probably the best he'll ever be.

Michigan vs. OSU ---- 97 games played

    UofM
    w-56 l-35 T-6 winning .608

Always a classic, nothing better than when one of the teams has a much bigger game in the future if they can win this one.

Still think it sucks that the winner does not go to the Rose Bowl..the BCS sucks...

What makes it all the more sweet?
OSU did beat the same team Texas couldn't.

Thank Texas Tech for that positive victory. I think the BCS calls it a "quality win"! :D

Imagine the age old tradition of losing early, OSU could drop like a rock if they lose in their last game. That would be a shame, but those "quality wins" over Wash St and now Texas Tech could come in handy. Thanks Texas!

In the modern era (1944 on) Ohio State has reached this game undefeated 13 times. They are 9-3-1. Two of those losses came in the in 90's.

In that same era, Michigan has been come into the game undefeated 10 times. They are 4-3-3.

I mean really the Cooper Era killed OSU in this rivalry. Cooper was OSU's Bump Elliot. If you don't know who Bump Elliot is, it's because he went 3-7 against the Buckeyes. We need another Woody. Hell Bruce even had a winning record. And Bo was from OHIO for crying out loud.

But I too hate the BCS.

Woody Hayes was 16-11-1 against Michigan
    Earle Bruce was 5-4

Since 1951, Ohio State has 23 wins, UofEM (University of Ed Martin) has 26 wins, and there have been 2 ties. Not bad when you consider that the Buckeyes were 2-10-1 in the John Cooper era.

    Ohio State v Michigan
    1890-1900
    ---------
    1 loss, 1 tie

    1901-1910
    ---------
    9 losses, 1 tie

    1911-1920
    ---------
    2 wins, 3 losses

    1921-1930
    ---------
    3 wins, 7 losses

    1931-1940
    ---------
    5 wins, 5 losses

    1941-1950
    ---------
    2 wins, 6 losses, 2 ties

    1951-1960 (Enter Woody Hayes)
    ---------
    6 wins, 4 losses

    1961-1970
    ---------
    7 wins,3 losses

    1971-1980
    ---------
    4 wins, 5 losses, 1 tie

    1981-1990
    ---------
    3 wins, 7 losses

    1991-2000
    ---------
    2 wins, 7 losses, 1 tie

    2001
    ----
    1 win

Ohio State beat Michigan only 5 times in 27 meetings prior to 1931. That's the reason why that have such a large series lead. But 1930 is a long time ago.
