Good luck to Navas. I really wish we kept him and never looked to get Tibo. Thank you Navas, I would not trade your left toe with Tibo.
I dont think anyone here is saying Navas was "perfect", just like any player he had his bad days, and eventually we needed a replacement for him. What I never understood: a-) Do we really think Tibo is the replacement for Navas? b-) What was the rush to find replacement for him. Should we not be looking for replacement for other more important players than Navas?
Keylor thank you. Great guy. Great soldier. Carried himself with grace and dignity in a sport where its hard to find those things. We definitely made the right call to buy T-Bow. Keylor was great for us but we forget how he had blunders too. But today is not the day to remember those. Its the day to fondly remember his contributions to our titles. Best of luck Keylor. He will be welcomed back at the Bernabeu with a lot of love and affection in a few weeks and it will be richly deserved.
We initially went for De Gea in a similar contract situation, but the transfer didn't work out, and I can say with full confidence that De Gea's performances have plummeted over the past 2 years strongly. The fact that we bought Courtois on a similar deal, or studied Kepa at 20 mil. suggests that this was always going to be our budget for the position, in which case you can do a lot worse than Courtois. Because as many said, he had a patch where he was bad enough that players had to come out in support of him. Not reacting to that would mean the club learned nothing from the Iker situation.
This guy literally used to win us bucketloads of points. Look how many one v ones he saved our asses on. No offence to the guy but if I see a 1v1 involving Courtois I know it's a goal before watching the sequence
