Just thought I'd start it now because by those looks, he's going to be a hit. (He kind of already is.) Now, let's see what his talent will bring to the team. Anyone see him play at Stanford? I'm excited to watch him run around. haha! JK! But seriously, from what I hear he's an awesome player!

I'm just saying that maybe we should wait until he actually contributes something to the team before we go worship him.

Yeah, yeah, the Landon thread is all about his abz. Not his contributions. But seriously, it's a bit soon for a Dunivant thread. And honestly, like defender said, this is bad luck!!

I'm sorry. Of course if all of you continue to think that this thread is going to bring bad luck, then it will. What you think about you bring about. And it's definately true. I was just trying to contribute something positive to this board. Anytime I make a thread it gets negative comments in it. And it doesn't stick around. I just wanted to contribute something to this board that would stick around and be appreciated by some people. I figured why not start it since there is soo much talk about him already. This way, there's a thread that will be all about him vs. having another thread for one thing and it ends up being all about him. I was just trying to save the complaints about his looks and blah blah in other threads. I didn't think there'd be so much harm for doing something I thought was good. I thought for once I could contribute something that would stick around for awhile, and I could do it before someone else did. But, once again it had a negative reaction. Sorry!:(

Besides, if he doesn't end up being a great guy, or whatever, the thread can be deleted and if not, eventually it will be because nobody will be replying on it.

I think this is a brilliant thread AA!

And Dunivant darned well better stick, because otherwise we're going to be waaaay short on defenders.

    Let's review!

    Barrett, almost certainly gone.
    Conrad, definitely gone.
Zak, gone, and not a moment too soon.
    Dayak, coming back from injury.
    Agoos, coming back from injury.
Robinson, last year's sophomore sensation, sort of.
Waibel, retrieved from the scum, still new.

And that's it folks. If either of Dayak or Goose can't make it, or is out the first few weeks, we're in deep doo doo. We have a mere four defenders on the team right now. You want to see Corrales covering for Wade at left back? or for Ekelund in the middle?

I'm betting (one Slow Elk Oatmeal Stout) that Dunivant sticks and sees more than 1000 minutes of playing time. But he better work hard, and not be a procrastinator!!

    GO QUAKES!!

Hey, come on! You're taking it all to seriously. I was just teasing. Some of these people may not like the idea of Donovan/Dunivant threads, but those are all hardheads. Lighten.:)

Two things make Dunivant special. One, he can play as a very good left back. Two, his throws-in from the touch-line are as good as a CK. Obviously not as powerful as a CK, but well-placed inside the 6. Effortless throws. Just watch.

OK Spartacus smart guy, how many minutes did Robinson get last season? The answer my friend is 1427. This season we have only four defenders on the roster including Robinson and he's a central defender not an outside back. Expect to see Dunivant starting at left back before the season is over. If any of our guys get injured, and we've got two older players back there, he's going to have to see time even if Corrales plays left back. Unless you think that Sanfilipo is going to beat him out for a roster spot and starting time on the defensive line.

Or maybe we're going to pick up Lars Lysand in the supplemental draft and he'll edge out Dunivant?

By the way, "Slow Elk Oatmeal Stout" is really good and I'll be happy to bring you one towards the end of the season. ;)

Oh and cachundo, thanks for the tip about Dunivant's thowins. We could really use some help in that regard.

    GO QUAKES!!

It wouldnt have bothered me that much if it was later on in the season, or atleast that there was a season for this thread to be made. Most of us havent even seen how this guy plays, so theres really no discussion, unless you wanna talk about being on a deserted island with him living ur fantasy. I really really dont want another huge "OMG HES SO HOT, O AND HE PLAYS SOCCER?"

Amen. We should delete this and the Donovan thread and start a "'Quake Teenage Desires" thread. I hope this guy gets cut and becomes a nobody.
