I'd bet that Queen Tiff happens to emcee at least of these one per year, during Grand Final Week. In any event, the agency that handles this client of the hotel, has me as good as in for working the event as soon as they take the bookings.
What am I thinking? You just need to use your connections with GFC to have Queen Tiff MC the Geelong breakfast in 2009...which is usually included in my ticket package.
Afternoon, all... and welcome to Grand Final Week. Just got done working a lunch function at Federation Square in Melbourne's CBD -- and there are heaps and heaps of fun party things happening at Fed Square alone all week long surrounding the event of the match. The luncheon was fun, as well as being held for the national ovarian cancer fund. Quite a number of women there (I think there were only a handful of blokes, in fact). Among those I delivered plates to included Christy Malthouse and Sandra Sully from Network Ten. And yes, ESPN's own Tiffany Cherry was sitting two seats over from Ms. Sully. But I didn't have a plate for Queen Tiff with me, among the three plates I was carrying at that run (Ms. Sully got plate number three there). Bugger! Not yet, anyway... I'll still be seeing her at another function on Friday afternoon...
Y'know, listening to Tiffany Cherry as a boundary rider on SEN1116, it's just not right. As a BBC reporter once told me his impression of indoor soccer, "it's like a chocolate eclair without the filling...there's just something missing".
Absolutely. A waste of all Queen Tiff has to offer... as I've mentioned earlier on in this thread. Recollections from the Western Bulldogs Grand Final luncheon on Friday: Tiff's looking great, even though my tables were so far away from the stage that it's a wonder I could see her at all. Oh, well... didn't matter. Nonetheless, she still winked at me, again. And while I was running out the main course plates, no less. Also, an item ran in yesterday's Sunday Herald Sun, in one of the columnists' spaces, saying that Tiff is on a plane now as we speak, headed for the U.S. -- and to Bristol, CT, to be precise. That's ESPN's global HQ's. Tiff's going to be filling in on the Aussie SportsCenter desk for Ryan Phelan for the next month until ESPN Int'l finds a permanent replacement for the homesick Mr. Phelan. So Tiffany Cherry will be on U.S. shores for the entire month of October.
What he said, even if Farnsey was quoted. My ticker and mind are working just fine, thank you very much... I'm tempted to scan and post the Tiffany Cherry photos that ran recently in ALPHA, just to give this thread a credible bump...
Doesn't matter. But the photos in ALPHA are good, no question about it.. even if the interview was a short feature.
It doesn't look like flickr.com will allow these pictures to be seen in their full glory -- but clicking on them will be well worth it, trust me! Better give credit where credit is due: photos copyright from the September 2007 editions of ALPHA Magazine (re: News Ltd). And in that second photo, it appears Tiff's got fishnets and no panty lines!! Rock on!!
Just out of curiosity, is Mrs Babytiger ok with this sudden (or not so) affection for Ms (I won't go there} Cherry?
She puts up with it. All in all, she's a good sport about all of it. After all, as it says on the opening page of this thread, she was there when Tiff first winked at me, nearly four years on now.
And on another front, Mrs. BT did give me this for Christmas... The basis of the game is video clips (from the 2006 AFL season) and questions based on those -- obviously, the more you answer correctly, the better your chances of winning. Queen Tiff has a voiceover from her Fox Footy boundary riding duties on a few of the clips. And yes, when I bellow out, "Thank you, Tiff!!", yes, my other half puts up with it quite nicely.
