Les droits de retransmission des matches de l'équipe haïtienne vendus Haïti: Les télévisions haïtiennes ainsi que les stations de radio ne pourront plus faire les matches de la sélection nationale en directe s'ils ne se procurent pas les droits de retransmission en fonction des règlements régissant les droits de retransmission des évènements internationaux. Ainsi, en est-il depuis que la Fédération Haïtienne de Football a vendu les droits d'images de la sélection nationale haïtienne de football a la firme américaine Media-World de Miguel Trujillo. Selon certains proches de la Fédération Haïtienne de Football, c'est la firme, Media-World qui a financé le voyage de la délégation haïtienne de football à Curaçao au début du mois de septembre mais aussi du voyage des joueurs évoluant en Europe vers Haïti, c'est elle qui s'est occupé du voyage de la délégation haïtienne évoluant en Haïti vers Miami où elle sera rejointe graduellement par les autres appelés évoluant en Europe, en Argentine, en Martinique et même aux Etats-Unis de qui elle assure le voyage. « La délégation haïtienne est logée au Sheraton jusqu'à son départ pour les Iles Vierges grâce à Media-World», explique le président de la Fédération Haïtienne de Football, Yves Jean-Bart, sans préciser pour autant l'adresse de cet hôtel de marque où serait logée la délégation haïtienne. « La firme assurera aussi le voyage de la délégation haïtienne vers Iles Vierges, son hébergement et son retour vers Port-au-Prince où elle débarquera le 8 septembre pour émigrer vers un hôtel réservé où elle séjournera jusqu'au 12 octobre après avoir rencontré Curaçao au Stade Sylvio Cator le 11 octobre à 3h 30 de l'après-midi », laisse-t-il entendre. Sans vouloir préciser le montant du contrat qui lierait le football haïtien a Media-world, le numéro 1 du football haïtien se contente de souligner les bénéfices de la sélection à partir de ce contrat. « Suivant la clause à la signature de l'accord, Media-World s'octroie les Droits exclusifs d'images du football haïtien. Il se chargera de vendre ces images et donnera 30 % de ses revenus au football haïtien », explique-t-il après avoir mentionné les avantages tirés jusqu'ici. L'acquisition de ces droits porterait sur les éliminatoires de la Coupe du Monde 2014 et sur toutes les activités footballistiques de la sélection nationale en attendant d'aller plus loin. Selon le numéro 1 du football haïtien, l'objectif visé serait la vente du championnat national « Digicel » de D1 de Football à travers la production et la retransmission d'un match par journée vers le monde international afin non seulement de redistribuer les profits de la Fédération aux clubs mais encore de servir de vitrine aux joueurs qui évoluent dans le championnat haïtien de première division.

Courtesy of Total Mix Radio, Carlos Marcelin's revealed the itinerary for the next few months. On April 18, a local-based national team will be heading up to Boston to play two charity matches, one against Harvard University. Then the national team (maybe including players based abroad) might play friendlies with Guatemala and Peru in May, and Guadeloupe and Cuba in June. From July 1 to 16, Haiti will host a first-round group in u-17 World Cup qualifying, while the u-20 team will head to Puerto Rico on the 20th for their qualifying. Finally, the senior team will play in their first-round group in Caribbean Cup qualifying. The earlier leak is correct in stating that the group will include the Bahamas, Cayman Islands and Bermuda; but according to Marcelin, the Bahamas will host the group (in their new National Stadium, I imagine).
That Haiti vs. Harvard game seems to be an annual thing. I met the Haitian team back in Boston last year. Stood at the same hotel as me and my mom. Bring a mixture of U-17,20 and senior guys. Real cool people. The Coach was funny and their federation president looked really shadowy, like a guy you wouldn't talk business with unless you were planning on getting burned.
A correction from what I wrote before: according to Wilner Etienne, the first-round group in the Caribbean Cup will be hosted in the Cayman Islands. Also, Haiti will play friendlies with Peru and Guatemala in Guatemala City on May 15 and 17, respectively (most likely as part of a triangular series).
Bump for our group in the Caribbean Cup finals next month: Group A Antigua and Barbuda Haiti Dominican Republic Trinidad and Tobago Finishing in the top two gets us access to both the Caribbean semifinals and the Gold Cup next year.
