    My new favorite player!

So will he start next match against the Fire?

In the near future will we see thousands of Persian fans in the stands at TheBuck supporting Stevie?!

Actually, I always thought he was a good signing because he's inexpensive, can play more than one spot, and our coaching staff got a good long look at him before they signed him. Wait a minute. This last bit might not be so good.

    GO QUAKES!!!!! :D
    too bad we're crap! :(

Stevie B. (I know, not the best nickname so far) should start next week since Leitch will be serving his one-match suspension.

With a quote like that and being a local product, he's already becoming a fan favorite. While we haven't seen much of him on the pitch, he is young, inexpensive so one can only assume he's got quite the upside.

...Which means FY and JD will make him available in next year's expansion draft and we'll lose another young player that could have become a Quakes legend.

If he plays as well as he spoke at the city council meeting, I'm with you.

Like the fighting fish that have to separated from all others due to their outrageous aggressiveness? Sounds very D-backish.

Does he have to travel in his own covered plastic cup?

I think it would be best of everyone concerned if Narcissus somehow failed to make the trip to South Africa. The guy is a wimpy wuss. He's going to get tackled hard within the first ten minutes of the first match and then he'll play like a ghost the rest of the tournament, just like Germany in '06. I hope like hell that I'm wrong. I hope his recent stint in Enguland has reminded him that elsewhere the game is rougher than playing in a league where the refs protect you (but not necessarily other players). I hope that Narcissus wins the golden boot, that he is The Man of the Tournament. But I fear that he will wilt like a wimp.

So I don't care if Beta or someone else whacks him hard before the tournament and he misses it.

    Go Quakes!!!

I hope like hell that he does great, because we're screwed if he doesn't.

Welcome to the forum! Always nice to have new fans. Try to ignore the grouchy old men like me. Some of us are despondent because our team sucks and it doesn't look like the Head Coach or GM will be fired anytime soon.

Beta should at least provide us some more speed on the right side than Leitch did. As long as he has a solid defensive day, I will be happy. I don't expect rookies to start in this league.

I hope he will be reliable defending and not too naive or nervy, and also not too timid to venture forward when appropriate. I have high hopes for the kid but not particularly high expectations but I'm looking forward to seeing him play.

I freaking love when local guys get on the field for the Quakes!!!!!

I hope he has a debut on par with Mike Zaher when he started at LB. Only I hope he stays a starter and stays a Quake.

personally i thought stevie b acquitted himself very well......mapp played a ball through him late that might have been dangerous had there been more room, but he did well....i felt like he played pretty conservatively and didn't look to venture forward too often, but it worked

Steve Bulbasaur will be gone in a month if he keeps doing this well. We'll trade him for a 2016 conditional supplemental draft pick and a can of frijoles refritos.
