No one can pronounce the Hawaiian oo-oohs, ah-has, ee-nees, and other amazing vowel sounds like the Wahinee Master Spartacus!!!! Signed, One dumb howle.
Wow, Spart! This is impressive! My thread, which wasn't even my thread, died a quick death in like less than 20 posts or something.... You really are a legend!
I was actually thinking this the other day! I was on my way home and I somehow Ching's name came in my head and I was having flashbacks to Spartacus' intros and I always remember him saying Haleiwa (I think), Hawaii, and I was trying to pronounce this outloud and came to the conclusion that I still can't say it as well as Spartacus can.
My favourite part of last night's US/Cuba game was the commentator saying: "Gallindo, Gallino, Gallindo, Gallindo, Maykel, Maykel Maykel!!!!!!" I love the enthusiasm even if I don't understand Spanish, but that one I got.
That's because the announcer was not Our Spartacus (to get back to the topic of this thread). I think we can take this to 1000+ posts. You all with me?
"We shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France. We shall fight on the seas and oceans. We shall fight with growing strength in the air. We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches. We shall fight on the landing grounds. We shall fight in the fields and in the streets. We shall fight in the hills. We shall never surrender." - Winston Churchill Onward!!!!!!!
Yes...a Squid from the third floor. (long may it RIP.) My Quake fandom was easily lost up there, where the football team lived (and their girlfriends. Football players really do pull the hot girls.) I was Gerald Willhite's neighbor while he was at State. Anyway, I have nothing but fond memories of Markham Hall. Nothing quite like coming home from class to find a chair stuck in the lawn outside an open, third story window or being passed in the central stairwell by Big Bob Overly on his motorcycle.
Did you get your brick? I worked there when they tore those things down. Literally just across the street in that old house there, and my window looked out at the old dorms. It was totally crazy to watch. I took pics, but I didn't get a brick. I never lived there, but I still wanted a brick.
I want my alarm clock to wake me with....."THE EARTHQUAKE GOAL IS SCORED BY #25...BRIAAAAAAAAAN CHING!!!"......by Spartacus......each day have a different Quake goal scorer, saving Cerritos for Fridays cuz that's my favorite call.
OK, people, enough. I've asked you to stop this thread. I will politely ask again. I do not seek your adulation. I am a behind the scenes entity. I wish to remain behind the scenes. Please cease this ridiculous thread. I am signing off the boards now to consider my future with the club.
