It's obvious he is a member of the team......it's about time he has his own thread. Of all the sporting events i've been to, i've never felt like the PA was "one of us" as much as I do at Spartan Stadium......thanks Spartacus! Let the praise begin!
Truth be told...I'm not a "member of the team". I'm an independent contractor under a handshake agreement to California Custom Studios as part of the field crew. To paraphrase a broadcast disclaimer, "your announcer is not an employee of the San Jose Earthquakes."
I already PMed him this: "It's a huge part of the game for me. Seriously! Your announcing is as important to me as all the memories I have of Cowboy. I'd be just as devestated (sp?) if you weren't announcing anymore as I am that Cowboy is not playing anymore! Seriously!! So just keep doing what you do!" And it's so true. What would the games be without Spartacus? Don't answer and don't ever let me find out!
Will you become an employee of the San Jose Earthquakes once they move into their new South Bay SSS in 2-3 years, or will you stay at Spartan Stadium (or both?)? GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
He goes with the team! That's a demand not a statement! He has no choice! I will drag him to the new SSS if I have to! Don't make me hurt anyone!
You know what I mean.....now don't get banned from your own official thread.....if you can't handle the praise, stay out of the church!
To quote from the latest SSV newsletter: "We can only say that we are confident, although there are no guarantees."
So there's no guarantee that you'll be the stadium announcer once the Quakes' new South Bay SSS is up and running in a few years? GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Hey....SSV has their own thread....do you want to get a card in your own official thread??? Back on topic......"The Earthquake goal is scored by #......!!!" *goose bumps*
15 minutes and already a 2nd page! You're a rockstar dude! Some players don't even have a thread......let alone a 2nd page!
Most players with threads dont come on trying to pour cold water on their threads (mostly because they're deserving of "official" threads).
Great, if overdue, idea for an Official Thread. High high praise for Spartacus from this discerning audience member.
