The reports I've seen make it seem pretty clear that he was born in the U.S., specifically NYC. I'm probably being too cautious, but it seemed at least possible that his parents were here in a diplomatic capacity, which might muddy the waters a bit. In any case, he looks like a pretty likely YA.

 

Can confirm that this guy (also mentioned here, earlier I think, by @fzzzy) has an American father. If one of you wants to start a thread, I'd say go for it.

The USYS Europe organization is in the process of naming a U19 team for some kind of upcoming tournament. In the process of doing so it seems likely we'll learn about some new YAs, since I believe they require citizenship for participation. Here's an example.

I've seen estimates online, but nothing official and detailed. The club's application page says:

The FC Bayern Global Academy is a full-time program that is subject to a fee and can be financed by a one-time payment or in installments. The costs cover all expenses directly related to the project. The exact breakdown will be presented and explained transparently in the recruitment process.

I won't speculate about how reliable the estimates are, but I think we can suppose that since it's an eight-month full-time residential program, it's in line with other experiences along those lines, presumably somewhere in the five digits.

The GA's squads seem to be substantially American in makeup. The World Squad seems to be something a step... higher? (It looks like some guys have moved from the GA to the WS, but the latter program seems more or less like a reality show.)

 

Theodore Elsig was listed at Neuchatel Xamax last season. The club only says he's Swiss, but a Swiss Football League site says he's Swiss-American, which backs up what's written elsewhere.

With that said, there some mild confusion out there, since the league site says he's an '06 and the club site says he's an '07. It doesn't look like a transposed number thing to me. TM goes with the club, which is probably the responsible thing to do.
