I really wish I could've easily found something to tie this neatly into a bow, but, well, I guess it's up to you now. (Especially if you read Greek!)

So, there is clearly a young player named Konstantinos Georgallidis, evidently an '02, with Anorthosis Famagusta who has a pro contract. He appears to be considered one of the better young attacking talents Cyprus has.

T'Markt says he was born in Kentucky. I was hoping to find another source for this, but I just haven't come across it yet. To help you take it home, here's what I think is his name in Greek: "ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΟΣ ΓΕΩΡΓΑΛΛΙΔΗΣ."

Maybe it's in this video, but it's long and I haven't watched it all the way through.

Interesting. Henderson is basically a Evansville, IN suburb and aside from small contingent of Bosnians in South Central KY and Western KY there isn’t a whole lot of international flavor. The international flavor often comes from those associated with University of Evansville or University of Southern Indiana. Anyways….. when I did google Georgallidis his name did pop up in LinkedIn. He apparently went to school at the American Academy of Larnaca, FWIW.

I deleted an earlier post because I realized I may not have connected the dots correctly and since we're dealing with a minor here, it felt better to be more certain or at least more cautious.

So, it turns out that in a video posted to IG, the kid is pretty clearly wearing DCU shorts as he walks into a Bayern facility. Plenty of other reports identify him as the DCU player.

An African news site says the poster of that video is his stepmother, a Ghanaian singer who goes by Becca. No idea who actually shot the footage.

There's also this post from another man apparently taken at Bayern.

    https://www.instagram.com/p/CRkbtIvLvRd/

That seems to be his father, a local coach.

I don't really have a handle on who's who beyond that or what the connection to Sammy Kuffour might be.

This is a fairly recent highlight video.

A player called up earlier this year by Guam may be a rare triple thread: a YA, a foreign YNT player, and -- well, you'll see.

We're talking about a guy named Sena Morimoto:

Dallas Jaye, Sean Evans, Alexander Stenson, and Sena Morimoto, Shawn Aguigui, Mark Chargualaf, Joey Ciochetto, Jason Cunliffe, Marlon Evans, Kyle Halehale, Shane Healy, Takumi Ito, Isiah Lagutang, Alex Lee, Nate Lee, Marcus Lopez, Shane Malcolm, Ian Mariano, John Matkin, Jacob McDonald, Morgan McKenna, Devan Mendiola, Anthony Moon, Leon Morimoto, Shawn Nicklaw, Travis Nicklaw, Robert Niu, Junior Pedemonte, Dominic Perez, Ryan Quitugua, Nate Sablan and Clayton Sato.

    https://www.the-afc.com/competition...dd-calls-up-32-players-for-guam-training-camp

He also seems to have been with Guam YNTs in the past.

T'Markt has him as Hawaiian-born and playing for the club Strykers in Guam.

    https://www.transfermarkt.de/sena-morimoto/profil/spieler/875823

He's a GK who has lived in Hawaii, whether or not he was born there.

    https://www.hudl.com/profile/10555316/Sena-Morimoto/about

He might plausibly be related to Leon Morimoto, who is younger and was born in Hawaii (and plays for Guam). His parents are Japanese and Sena apparently also partly identifies as Japanese.

That Instagram page notes Creighton U., but I don't believe he played or plays... soccer there. However, a Sena Morimoto at Creighton appears to be an accomplished quidditch player. I gather that quidditch also has a developmental academy system, so the parallel is obvious.

I guess the kid can really... fly.

With the ball, he's a real... Wizard.

Being that good on a broom, he could play... Sweeper.

Trying to confirm the birthplace of a player who recently moved to a fairly high-profile club, I reached out to one of his former clubs. They said they'd never heard of him. I told them he'd specifically mentioned them in an interview. The plot thickens! (And I still don't have confirmation of his birthplace.)

This page appears to be out of service: It loads, but doesn't work once you get there. Anyone else seeing this? Got a replacement?

Some reports suggest he was there on a two-week trial, which according to some reports (yes, I know...) was successful. I couldn't easily find mention of him on the club site. But it does seem pretty clear that he was at Bayern in some capacity along with family members, and connected with Valentin Yotov while he was there. What's next? No idea.

T'Markt says an '03 named Faris Rahic with the U19s of BIH first-division club Mladost is American-born.

    https://www.transfermarkt.de/faris-rahic/profil/spieler/912990

This English report has him as Bosnian-American, born to immigrant parents. This story was written in 2020:

“My goal in life is to play for the Bosnian national team to represent my country in tournaments all around the world and to show myself to clubs in Europe and create myself a future,” Rahic said. “My other goal is to move anywhere in Europe to start my career for soccer and get called for the national team and then build my skills and prepare myself for challenges that will come my way later on.”

    https://nileswestnews.org/76262/fea...ed-for-the-u-18-bosnian-national-soccer-team/

This Bosnian article says Chicago-born and discusses links to some big clubs.

    https://sportsport.ba/fudbal/rahic-sjajan-u-chicagu-uskoro-u-premijer-ligi/399386

This English story from earlier this year calls him an immigrant. It also says he trained in Europe previously and could've stayed but returned home to finish school.

    https://www.journal-topics.com/articles/good-to-goal-rahic-sets-new-record-in-just-12-games-at-nw/

This video doesn't mention American citizenship.

This Instagram profile under his name has no posts or identifying information but I thought the avatar was funny.

The middle Rahic article says he was called up to the Bosnian U19s. Mladost finished above the relegation zone last year but were not granted a license for the top division. The official excuse was something to do with the stadium but it was all shady.

Most of the first team regulars rescinded their contracts and have been signing with other clubs. Real shame because this was a team from a small town that was heavily focused on young players. Half the squad were U21.

No idea what all that means for Rahic.

Curious... how does he qualify as a YA? Guam is full of US citizens.

Possibly, as noted above (and I'm not 100% sure it's correct) born in Hawaii.

True, but is it really worth noting that someone born in the US proper is playing in Guam? Seems we should ignore Guam, Puerto Rico, USVI, etc., because the leagues are basically US leagues, but outside the jurisdiction of USSF.

That's why I would say they aren't really YAs.

Upon reflection, I freely admit that I didn't spend as much time contemplating whether I had chosen precisely the right location for a post about an obscure player with an unusual background as I perhaps could have. I welcome any intervention the moderators deem necessary to fix this this situation.

Spoken like a guy who has taken it upon himself (for reasons I can only guess) to faithfully update every single one of my "Joe Shlabotnik at CF Metallurg Hambone" threads for the last half decade. I'm not sure which is more pitiful, startin' 'em or updatin' 'em. Let's call it a draw. ;)
