Also, that team is practically European.

    Non-Moroccan born: 14
    Canada: 1
    Spain: 2
    Netherlands: 4
    Belgium: 4
    France: 2
    Italy: 1
    Moroccan born: 12

Of the Moroccan-born, several have lived most of their lives in Europe as well.

So their coach doesn't know what he's talking about then? OK.

Do you want to post where the families of Holland’s best players are from?

The Guardian just published a delicious critique of the Fox Sports coverage of the World Cup. I recommend reading it! :ROFLMAO:

Broadcaster has offered up a feast of gaffes, stupidity, and unconquerable on-air awkwardness for US viewers to enjoy

The World Cup! A tournament of frenzied emotion, spectacular goals, heroic upsets, and grand displays of athletic daring and skill. Or, if you’re watching it in the US: four weeks of shouting, relentless commercial promotion, disorienting cuts and changes of channel to make way for the college football game, and segments in which Alexi Lalas does pump-up speeches for the US team that no one in the US team will ever listen to; a global exhibition of Clint Dempsey’s ongoing quest to assemble vowels and consonants into an order that resembles words; a month-long celebration of the festival that is Landon Donovan’s personality.

I simply find it odd to say that Moroccans don't consider themselves African. So teh coach said they do. I asked a friend of mine, Moroccan now living in Belgium and she responded with:

I dunno, I'm gonna believe them.

One day during 2014, I was at the gym doing cardio. The IC was playing that day. A dude got on the treadmill next to me and started chatting. He goes: I'm from Algeria. I cheer for all the African teams. I never forgot that obviously. They may be "different" up in North Africa but they definitely claim the continent.

My brother in law, which joined me in Qatar for a week of games, is Ethiopian. He said that Moroccans do consider themselves African but many African countries don't like to claim them as Africans.

I've only met his brothers, as his sisters live in UK and Ethiopia, so don't know. However I have met some of his nieces and wife's of his brothers that are Ethiopian and answer is yes.

We are actually concuños, our wives are sisters.

I have a thirst that can only be quenched with Argentine tears. The question is whether they will taste better served in the Dutch style or as a caipirinha.

Vibe for me is pretty much that Argentina has Messi, but it's not the old Messi. He's not the same player anymore. But this different player is still pretty good. Beyond that, I don't see them have a plan B. It seems to be a bunch of warriors that enable their star to shine.

The Netherlands has no stars, it is a team which has a bit more options to change depending on how the game progresses. Our defenders on the bench (de Ligt - de Vrij) would be starters for pretty much any team. Our midfield is a bit unbalanced, shame Wijnaldum lost his form and got injured. I think the Netherlands is more solid, whereas Argentina has a higher peak.

    Not much between them.
