This is really heartbreaking news. he was finally going to get his world cup and then this happens. I always hated how Layun played on the wing in Russia over Tecatito. I know he hasn't been at peak form with the national team, but he made the right moves to get into a competitive position for the cup. I feel for him.

 

Crazy how someone with this much talent won’t be remembered for having any impact for Mexico in a World Cup

 

Hope he fares better than Alberto Medina did back in the day. He was never the same after his injury. Tecatito like Median back in the day relies on dribbles and speed.

Its hit or miss with athletes, but these kind of injuries at his age usually take a toll.

 

Incredibly heartbreaking indeed! Injuries are the absolute worst because they rob the player of reaping the rewards and benefits of a lifetime of hard work. Tecatito was an inked in starter and will be sorely missed. What an awful thing for him and the team. Of course, these things happen and as sad as it is this will open up an opportunity for another player. Just hope that player gives it his all.

So I just booked my flight to Qatar, I'm living in italy right now and best price with business class was with Saudia airlines, so I booked it. Guess it's better if I don't where any Mexico apparel on flight? Ha. And I should replace my Mexico flag luggage tag

With a roster of 26, I say you take him if he has been practicing for a few weeks. Are there really any players worth taking a over 23 that would make a difference anyways?

 

This. Got a lot of love in Scandinavia when people knew I was Mexican. Free Mexican beer, tequila shots every night. Did get yelled at once when a dude thought I was Middle Eastern. My Swedish friend said I was “mexikansk” and everything was cool. Also, was hanging out with a Polish friend when her family FaceTimed and I assume they asked who/what I was. She said “meksykański” and they were friendly.

Have also had good luck wearing my Mexican jersey in Canada. Keep in mind that I’m dark AF morenazo and not a White Mexican.
