Not only hot, but when the sun hits your eye like a big pizza pie that's a sunburn! All of the not-incredibly-expensive seats are situated to ensure maximum solar radiation exposure at all daytime events...
With a 2014 total construction cost of $1.3 billion (or $1.73 billion in 2024 dollars) at Levi's Stadium, couldn't whomever was in charge have come up with a partial roof or awning similar to PayPaL and will they be adding one in the future?
Are the Quakes really so stupid as to piss away an opportunity to pack Levis Stadium? Messi in Paypal? Chicago just sold out Soldier Field with 65K tickets sold to see Miami play, WTF Front office? Think small much?
They could have possibly considered another larger venue but given that it’s unlikely Messi will play in our game I think PPP is the right call. Instead of 60k disappointed customers / prospects you’ll have just 18k.
Judging by all the crowds i've seen turn out for Messi and Miami, playing them at Paypal is like receiving a million dollars and being told you can only spend 10 bucks.
The actual profit will probably be the same. You don't have to pay to rent Levi's, you don't have to pay more 3rd parties to run the event and so on.

OK, Messi may or may not be coming to SJ, but don't think about that! We're gonna celebrate Miami being here by creating a beach-style suite, serving colorful drinks with umbrellas.
Experience what it's like to be in Miami for only $650 (Southwest round trip tickets are probably like $350)
I'm reviewing a soccer movie where the kids were playing on some huge indoor facility in the Salt Lake City area. Turns out it is the massive training facility for RSL and the Zions Bank Real Academy, built in 2018. It also has a 5,000 seat stadium used by the Real Monarchs. Looking at this site, I can see why the Quakes would have difficulty recruiting top players to the team. I have a feeling that the Quakes training facilities are USL-level. https://www.sltrib.com/sports/rsl/2...ake-salt-lakes-massive-new-training-facility/
Repeating my question here: PPP had its 10-year anniversary in Feb-2025. Strange that the Quakes did not celebrate it. Or did I miss it?

Rough times for San Jose... Ezra Klein: "If you go to San Jose there is plenty of space. It's strip malls and single family homes. It is one of the richest tracts of land in the whole country, in the whole world. It could be skyscrapers, it could be Shenzen. It is strip malls and single family homes." Seder has been attacking Abundance for weeks. Ezra comes on & it turns out Sam agrees with him that it's impossible to build enough affordable housing given current costs. When Ezra asks him how to decrease those costs, he can only pivot. HE HAS NO ANSWER.https://t.co/rPSHzbTLiO pic.twitter.com/l7UAtKJBBc— Ta-Nehisi Quotes (@steady_drumbeat) May 15, 2025 "boring"
Boston, NYC, Denver, and Nashville are the only cities worth living in? Boring works fine for me. I wonder where Ezra Klein lives? My experience with the people who want us all to live in skyscrapers rather than single family homes is that they themselves have multiple acres and a house that's no less than 4000 square feet.
