“NEWS: Enchant Christmas Returns to San Jose’s PayPal Park with an All-New World’s Largest Christmas Light Maze this Holiday Season” (SJEarthquakes.com - Tuesday, 6/18/24) GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
A low point for PayPal Park? Wow. Quakes marketing VP Jed Mettee, are you seeing this? #Quakes74 #SJEQ #VamosSJ pic.twitter.com/fDO2E52CVT— Dan (@QuakesFan) July 18, 2024 There’s like 5 people at PayPal Park rn pic.twitter.com/GiFFXiOpfC— Nesthot (@valleeezy) July 18, 2024
Hypothetically, what if in June (at the time of this post), the Quakes were projected to make the MLS Cup Playoffs which will be held from October to December 7th, 2024? Would at that point this upcoming Enchant Christmas at San Jose’s PayPal Park with an All-New World’s Largest Christmas Light Maze be postponed?
I’m not sure, but I’d imagine that the ability to postpone the Enchant Christmas stuff would’ve been written into the agreement by the stadium. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
It wouldn't have left much time. Obviously, Fisher & Co. knew and/or knows their team sucks and scheduled this regardless of their teams fate. They probably think they will make more money in the long run from their own version of XMAS in the Park than they would off of their Quakes venture....
In my opinion this is a good thing (it's the reason I dropped my moat tix two years ago and haven't been to a game since). Hopefully next year will be painful enough for Fish to invest reasonably, sell or move us again.
Just curious why the tweet was directed at Jed Mettee. What is the difference between the 2 guys in terms of, which do you blame for low attendance? Tutul Rahman, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Ticketing Jed Mettee, Chief Operating Officer
Well at this point he's trying to sell day-old roadkill at day-old roadkill prices. Still a hard sell :-(.
Controversial opinion but losing the only first division mens soccer team in Northern California could even be a bad thing...
As a longtime Golden State Warriors fan (as well as a San Jose Earthquakes fan even during the pre-Golden Age era), I completely disagree. As long as they’re still in San José, California (as opposed to San José, Costa Rica ) and are still the San Jose Earthquakes (exactly as such), there is always hope! GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Hey guys, what are they building behind PayPal Park? Long ago, this was the VIP overflow parking lot.
But as before, her neighbor’s kids still go to bed at 8:30pm on Saturday nights? GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Nancy Thomas has since installed new sound proof doors & windows so she won't be bothered by the 4000 Quakes fans at PayPal not to mention the loud trains, planes and automobiles....
Ironically, while she repeatedly watches her VHS copy of Trains, Planes and Automobiles. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
I thought the condos were supposed to go on the other side of the tracks. @Earthshaker, are u the one who ferrets thru the SJ planning dept archives?
Well, If it's anything like the neighborhood I've lived in for the last 34 years, they're building ADUs!
