Still regret not getting his 2010 WC jersey and only getting LCY's..should have spent that extra cash.
Damn! youtube removed a lot of the old Park ji sung vids. I wanted to re-watch all those vids again. He's such a legend man. Its crazy how much recognition he's getting. I'm happy in that regard.
man..i hope the kids in spain do well in the future so that they fill the emptiness of PJS retirement..
What's his post-playing career going to be like? Focusing on youth development with his football school?
If any of you have the chance to go to a Suwon Bluewings game, there's a nice little museum attached to the stadium with a lot of World Cup and various national team memorabilia, and a special section for Park Jisung, with his shirts from each stage of his career, boots, old childhood diaries, etc. A really nice exhibit, and worth the trip from Seoul even if there is no game going on.
I can't believe that the idol from my years has hung up his boots. He's contributed so much to Korean football and Asian football in general. I'm proud to say that I've followed his career and was privileged to watch Park's exploits for both club and country. A well-deserved retirement.
I watched this goal live back in 2002 - it's the reason why I follow the KNT and it's players now. You've come a long way Mr. Park. A legend in my eyes. You are, and always will be my favorite player. Farewell
I was there! I got to see this in person! I'm so, so, so glad that I actually got to see our legend put in a goal in person. I know it was an insignificant game, but man, it made me happy.
Favourite moment from Park is definitely when he scored a brace against Wolverhampton. Scored the second goal in the dying minutes. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=623246201094922
im pretty disappointed that this thread isnt blowing up, this is park ji sung the guy we all looked up too during the last decade. Here's one for you guys
Oh man, what a great player he was, and despite his retirement from football he is still regarded as the best, not only in Asia but also even on this side of world (referring to the Americas). Mere words cant describe how happy i felt to watch his goals, but the one i recall the most is this from the WC in Germany back in 2006, i was watching the game live in my home. I can't remember if i skipped a class in university just to watch the game, but it was Korea so i couldn't miss it. I also want to share this video from Arirang News on his retirement. So long captain Park, we'll remember you as a player of great ability and as figure who helped to advance soccer in Korea and pave the way to a new generation like Heung-min.
Wait his finance reported on this for Arirang News? Both her and the dude behind the desk seemed to have UK English accents.
absolutely legend and an example for Asian player to succeed in Europe. First knowing him in the 1-0 win over Portugal in WC 2002 and still think he is an average player until I'm watched him LIVE in UCL 04/05 vs AC Milan, damn Ji was very good in that match. and the rest is history. thank you and farewell PJS
