Very happy for Bouda. There was a time when it wasn't clear he was going to make it. Can't say that it was all Bruce who resurrected him necessarily because Ian kind of did toward the end of last year (bringing him back from his super short loan to Monterey and playing him). And how often do we see sentences like the last one here from our players. Extra credit for sure.

“I look forward to keep growing in my personal career and with this team that is only getting better. I want to thank Bruce, his staff and the entire Earthquakes organization for believing in me and the opportunity to continue to play for them and the best fans in Major League Soccer.”

Well deserved, Bouda has really taken an enormous step forward as a player.

He's got spirit, can-do energy, and a great soccer brain -- exactly what we want to see. Given how much he's grown, I expect he won't be around for long.

Don't think he's gonna be a big transfer target guy. He could be a good club guy for several years though, if not a starter than good depth.

When the news for the sale went up I thought we'd avoid new contracts, at least ones that are on the longish side. But this one seems like a no-brainer and probably relatively cheap. 2027 with an option in 2028...

Who knows how long he's going to stay, but he's gonna bleed black and blue as long as he does!

I credit Ian with re-energizing Ousseni. He’s grown even more under Bruce, but Ian resurrected him from the ash heap. He looked useless the first half of last season.

Burkina Fasso finished second in the CAF qualifying. Which means that they might still make it to the World Cup Finals in North America, but it’s a bit of a long shot. If the make it, and Ousseni gets some serious minutes, I think we’ll get offers for his contract.

    Ousseni is an Upright Man!!

    Go Quakesfans!!

I think he needs a new picture.

Great so we go into Elimination day missing two of our eleven most recent starters.

we have this weekend off and Bouda’s and Vierra’s last national team game is the 12th. They’ll get nearly a week of rest.

Ousseni was weak when he first came to our team, but starting middle of last season, when Ian took over as head coach, Ousseni has been playing much better. And he's gotten even better with Bruce as head coach.

I used to think that he was useless, but now I think he's a good player. He's been really good for us this season.

    GO Ousseni!!
