Still with the Quakes but the team added a few new players during the summer and he's been falling just a bit out of the 20 that make the game.
I was hoping to open this thread saying he was released and wished well in his future endeavors. I hope he never plays for us again.
Dudes a nice guy, not a good soccer player at this level. He needs to be plying his trade in the USL.
He played pretty well in the friendly against CD Olimpia last Saturday as a sub in the 2nd half, but tough for him to get playing time.
That's your opinion but my opinion is that he can still remain as an MLS player given the right amount of playing time
Good, anywhere but here, f*ck Baldisimo. He is one of the worst guys to ever wear our jersey and that says something.
Kaitlyn! That’s mean! He’s not that bad, and in the right setting he’s OK. But I don’t think the Quakes are the right setting for him. He played better for Vancouver last season than for us this season. Go Quakesfans!!
Edmundo Zura played like 19 minutes and he's one of the shittiest players to ever play for us, Baldisimo played 210 he is more then qualified to be one of the shitty players. Is he worse then Jair, Caleb Porter, Edmundo, Eduardo, Mark Sherrod, Matt Hatzke and Yannick Djalo? No... is he worse then 90% of the players who've suited up for us in our history? Yes.
IIRC he really looked spectacularly bad in one game (can't remember which - St. Louis? Toronto? Houston? ) where he just kept fouling people and losing the ball, but otherwise hasn't seemed much better or worse than most of our clowns.
To be fair, everyone looked bad in that game against St. Louis. We were down a bunch of players and it was -20ºF and windy or something like that, which I guess for you is a nice spring day, but for us, not so much .
I expected better from Michael. I watched him a fair bit with Wankouver last season. I’ve been really disappointed. He’s not Pablo Pintos level bad, nor even Fabio bad, but he’s not good enough for us and he’s not a fit for us. Sorry. Go Quakesfan!! I wish you all health, long life, and happiness!
I don’t think he had much time to play so that we could fairly evaluate him. But playing time even in our central midfield is hard to come by, with Yueill, Gruezo, Monteiro, Niko, and Skahan all vying for a spot (along with Baldi). He was also out for a good part of midseason with an injury I think.
Baldi looked ok in the early part of the season and has some skill on the ball, but seems like a very flawed player - namely can't provide any form of defensive cover other than by fouling repeatedly. Hope he finds a good landing spot.
I like his passing (short to mid-range) and he is surprisingly good in the air for his size. I would agreed his biggest weakness is in defense (more from positioning which I think lends to the fouling). Similar to TT, I don't know what position to put him. DM - No. Holding Mid or Attack - No. Wing - Definitely No. At least TT got moved back and was somewhat serviceable.
I would say holding mid. He has more of a natural position than TT ever had. At least we know Baldi's a CM.
