There are too many people put a negative sign before they even see the kid. Here is what Landon Donovan said in an interview: "Ironically, we picked up a kid who I used to play club soccer with me when I was younger in Lindon Pecorelli who is a very good player. I think he is going to do well for us. " Anyone who has the info for the kid, please post it.
Good point. I'll quit thinking of him as a pompous, egotistical, Carrieri-ed jerk. Maybe he won't turn out to be that way.
Since I was the one who suggested he MAY have attitude issues, I should post this in all fairness. Due Time asked around for info on our late draft picks in another forum and a poster from Lindon's school had this to say: Lindon had a great freshmen year at UCONN. I predicted he would be an all-american by his Junior year. His sophomore and junior years were less than expected. He seemed "out of it" for lack of a better term. His senior year he was a preseason all-american which I thought was a reach based on the last two years. He really picked it up this year though. He started off a little slow, but from the mid-point until the NCAAs he was definitely one of the stronger players we had and deserves some credit. He's got good speed and if he wants to, he can hold onto the ball very well. He makes real nice daigonal runs with the ball which tends to give the opponent fits. I like him, and I can see him at the next level.
Bumping this up. When is he coming to SJ? Do we have a developmental spot still open for him? Seems wierd that he joins the team about a quarter of the way through the season. Perhaps Lalas will loan him to an A-League team?
