Hopefully we don't have "such" ultras in Bełchatów. I hope nobody is going to ruin our start in UEFA Cup.

I think the punishment was too weak. And I really hope the club will sue some of the idiots that did it...
(2 biggest proofs for lack of their brains: 1. the fight, 2. many of them didn't cover their faces)

OMG I see noone bumped the thread when I was on holiday.

    So some info:
Legia signed Piotr Giza from Cracovia
and of course teh first 2 victories, which makes us a lone leader at least until Wisla plays their game from the first round against Gornik (Wisla of course may loose, but guys... look at it the realistic way)

Btw... Wlodarczyk & Zaglebie - at last, a team that fits this guy lol... rofl...

yea, definitely look at it from the realistic point of view... we just finished off the league champs Lubin while you guys beat down Gornik. we definitely didn't play our best considering we didn't finish well and could have easily beaten Lubin by more. you guys bashed Gornik's brains in, i'm sure the least we could do is take 3 points from them

by the way, what ever happened to Surma with you guys?

Wisla also just came back with a tie against Reggina and a win against FC Sevilla

He's in a better place now... jk... Surma plays for Maccabi Haifa now.

... and Sevilla has jusy won the UEFA Cup, which makes Wisła the best polish club ever, and they should hand you over the UEFA Cup trophy...

sry but such comparisons are veeeeeeeeeeeeery weak in practice, cuz when Wisła was on their tops in UEFA Cup, they lost in Warsaw 5:1, right after beating Shalke...

A lil' bonus for all people that don't watch Legia games. IMO a goal of the week at least. 88 minute of Górnik-Legia game. The score is still 0-2. Giza passes the ball to Edson, who's in the corner of the penalty area and... see what happens:

I played with Legia as a youth in (2004-07). Glad to see we are still making an impact in the league. The Groclin game was shit during the 2nd half.

I'm curious as to Piotr Zygo's background and personal history. Anyone know where he is from? When he was born?

I'm kind of curious if he is a distant relative of mine.

90minut.pl, which is a very good database of Polish players doesn't show this player at all. Although for some reason his name sounds familiar... :)

Here's what Wikipedia Poland says about him:

Born Warsaw 1968, has a degree in history. Works in the banking and television fields. President of Legia from 5/2004 to 4/2007.

I personally know all the Zygos in Texas, since I'm related to them and I'm certain your right about that

My great grandfather left the Krakow area when he is 15, this is before WWI, and stowed away on a boat to the states and ended up in New Jersey. I don't think my grandfather ever made it over to Poland during WWII, when he was serving in the Big Red One.

Not sure if it was mentioned in this thread but does anyone know what Fabianski's fee was? I'm curious as to how much he's worth.
