LAFC!? What Garbage! Everyone has been disappointed with NYCFC but I fear LAFC will be even worse... First, the ownership is sticking with this crappy sounding name... LAFC?! How lame! First TFC, now LAFC.. What's next, STD and TMZ?Second, you have the fact that all the hardcore soccer supporters in LA already follow(ed) either the Galaxy or Chivas and in the case of Chivas, apparently it wasn't very much of them. So you are basically building the foundation of this team on a foundation of quicksand. If the owners think they can count on the euro & mexi-snobs indefinitely they will soon find themselves going bankrupt.Third, the owners! The problems that Cardiff City have had with Vincent Tam are well documented. First the guy changes the home colors from blue to red, then he adds a dragon to the badge. He has also had a few run ins with staff about money. Add in all the two dozen or so other minor owners and you have the potential for a huge mess! The question is not, will LAFC work, but how long they will work before becoming an embarrassment to MLS. Just make sure that expansion fee check doesn't bounce b/c that is the only good thing about the situation.
Tan is not the primary owner in this group he is a secondary investor. IMO, it's a bid difference. But thanks for starting a rivalry with Galaxy such a great name in its own right.

We have no rivals! No, I just wanted to gauge the disgust level on LAFC compared to that of NYCFC. My money is on NYCFC being the bigger embarrassment for the league, with LAFC coming in a close second. And thanks.. Our name is not the best on the planet, it's the best in the Galaxy!!!
More confusion? With who? Tom Penn, Peter Guber and Henry Nguyen are the owners and the people who will be making the decisions. Everybody else is an investor and usually they don't have a big voice in decisions. It's a rivalry because you started a thread about a competitor of LA1.
