Hopefully this goes better than the last MAC Hermann Trophy winner from Wake Forest that the Quakes brought in, Marcus Tracy
If it were AYSO, we would totally expect one of his parents to either coach or ref. For free, of course.
I was only kidding about John becoming an assistant coach but forgot to include the smiley face.. I’ve since added it!
Don't know if Harkes is an 8(?) but here is how he matches up with Yueill. Not as good on the passing and contribution to the attack but much better on tackling and somewhat better at carrying the ball.
I'd say we are more like a college team. The good thing about that though is we have the 2016 Hermann Trophy Winner in Ian Harkes of Wake Forest as well as a long and distinguished college coach who won five College Cup titles with the Virginia Cavaliers men's soccer team in Bruce Arena! Go NCAA!
I don't think either of these guys will eat into Tsakiris' playing time too much Two average at best midfielders joining the San Jose Earthquakes. Can’t imagine this is going to help Niko Tsakiris (‘05) play more minutes. On the other hand, it could help Noel Buck (‘05) if he stays with the New England Revolution next season. https://t.co/yEHYluYYOP— American Ultras Talk (@ameriultrastalk) December 2, 2024
Can someone explain why I should be Agreed. Niko should be fine. I just picked up on losing an international slot. Little concerning, but Arena tends to go more the US route for players so is probably not a problem (especially if we aren't going to use it).
Unless Niko plays better than he did last year (working on that right foot, Niko?) I don’t mind if someone pushes him for playing time. He needs to earn it by being better.
