I think we need a catch all thread for United related observations, comments, questions, etc., that really don't seem to fit in anywhere else, but realy don't warrant their own thread. So here it is!

Here is first (relatively uninteresting ) post. :)

Has anybody noticed there are official Manchester United web sites in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean? Are they new? Or am I that unobservant.

(links are on top right of the web page)

It's certainly good marketing. Lets fill those coffers to keep that transferr money rolling.

While I'm not known to have a wandering eye, these things have been advertised to death on the electronic advertising boards at OT for a while now. Next home game (we only have one left [CL has their own advertisements]), check it out.

Why is Alan Hansen's column on the BBC website called a "football column", when really it's a weekly review of how bad Liverpool has done in the league, but how great they are in Europe, and then begrudgingly admitting that nobody can really match Man United?

I really love that Hansen now has become the Chief United Supporter on MOTD - I just laugh when I think how grudgingly he praises our play, manager, Ronaldo, etc.

In fairness, he tipped us at the start of the season I believe and has held steady with that throughout, even when Arse was 5 ahead.

Towards the end of Sunday's game, did anyone else notice VdS not taking a goal kick? Think Pique took it instead. I'm coming from a "hope he's ok" angle as it seemed unusual but have not heard anything since.

I did notice it. I'm not sure if the commentators mentioned anything about it since I generally watch with the sound off.

I like the idea. Its been really getting to me recently that we don't have a news thread anymore. I really thought that added to the atmosphere around here.

I've not heard anything about it, but perhaps just a hint of a groin problem?

:D Maybe he was taking the piss and told Pique to take it and yelled "Gerard!" right before Pique was about to strike the ball.

Gerard is best known for taking shots at goal often 40 or 50 yards and quite often they are rubbish..

Well, actually, he's noted for scoring 1 of those 40 yard belters a season on those rare occasions that his team is already up by 3 goals. Then, they are referred to as "a real Captain's goal" and the English press then stumble over each other to perform mass felatio on him.

Yeah, that's actually a great read.

    Here are some more gems

    Most intelligent player:
"Edwin van der Sar would like to think that he’s the most intelligent. I’d probably put myself up there [laughs]. But seeing as Edwin thinks he’s the most intelligent, let’s let him believe it."

    Joker in the dressing room:
"The sly joker is Fletch. People don’t suspect him, but when something’s going on he is normally involved. Pique and Fletch are always at the centre of pranks with player’s clothes. Me? I don’t get involved. It’s not my game. I’m a very mature member of the squad now so I don’t get drawn into the young boys’ antics!"

    LOL at Rio :D

The lad is full of himself.

Fergie wil have them implanted into all the United players. He will know where, when, who, why, what they eat, see, do, live, write, say etc. Shit.. I wouldn't be suprised if Fergie put Man U up to the project in the first place.

Grrrr... good thing I only bite on Mondays.

Still, you have to wonder if that might alienate some of the ,ore staunchly Eye-a-rish American contingent.

Thought I would just lob this in here since it wouldn't get much notice or make much sense in many of the NSR threads., so without further adieu, the new Dairy Milk ad! I love where they are going with this campaign...
