"Warriors Select UCLA Forward Kevon Looney With 30th Overall Pick in 2015 NBA Draft" (Thursday, 6/25/15) -G
Contract talks with Draymond have halted. Likely he won't get fair market value offer elsewhere as everyone knows the warriors plan to match. Hopefully this doesn't affect relations with him.
David Lee is heading to the Celtics for Gerald Wallace. Dubs save about $23 million in salary and luxury tax, Celtics get a former All Star in a contact year who will get to play a ton. Thanks to David Lee for all he's done during his time at GS. I'll never forget him telling Blake Griffin to stop flopping.
Dubs trade Gerald Wallace for Jason Thompson. So basically they swapped David Lee for Thompson and saved about 30 million. Not bad. And yeah, Lee was a class act. Great offensive player, good enough to start. Unfortunately his game didn't fit too well with Kerr's style, he was not good on defense, and well... Draymond happened.
They are talking about the best Lakers teams in the NBA thread, and arguing for Wilt at center. But Wilt's best years were with the Philadelphia and San Francisco Warriors. During that stretch, he was as dominant as anybody who ever played the game, even though he didn't win a title. My all-time Warriors starting 5. (Playing Mullin at guard and Thurmond at forward, which is reasonable as they did play those positions at times, to fit in the guys I want.) PG Steph Curry SG Chris Mullin SF Rick Barry PF Nate Thurmond C Wilt Chamberlain
Despite him having a better over all career, I'm tempted to replace Thurmond with Jamaal Wilkes to play a little smaller. Also, Thurmond leaving and drafting Wilkes is what won the 1975 chip. It's my team so I'm also tempted to drop Rick Barry for Wilkes and go bigger. I mean, we already got Steph and Mullin shooting. Plus Rick is a self acknowledging a-hole and would be bad for team chemistry.
Statistically speaking, you have a valid point. But if you allow Wilt to be among the greatest in SF, then then Bucks can claim KAJ, since he did have some good stats there. If the rules (we could have made up) that one team could claim one position/player, then Wilt should be imo in Philly, where he had really great stats and actually won a title there, Meanwhile, the Lakers could claim KAJ or Shaq as their center. On your top 5 Warriors... no love for Richmond or Hardaway... Run TMC (I think that is what you guys called them)?
Loved those guys but nah. 3. CHAMPION WARRIORS HAVE A ROUGH GO. Heavy is the crown apparently. The Warriors have 20 back-to-backs this season, tied for the most league-wide along with the Pistons, Rockets, and Clippers. They face Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans twice in the first week, along with the Rockets and Grizzlies, their final two Western Conference playoff opponents. And to top it off, their last four games are two each against San Antonio and Memphis. That's downright brutal. The Warriors were phenomenally fortunate last season with their injuries, and they do only have one more back-to-back than last season, but after a long playoff run, you wonder if things will be different this year. Expect more rest for the Warriors' starters based on the data the team collects and as a result, fewer wins, most likely, than the incredible 67 they tallied last year. http://mweb.cbssports.com/nba/eye-o...-things-to-know-including-warriors-rough-deal

I wonder, does this guy have anything left in the tank? http://www.nba.com/warriors/news/warriors-sign-ben-gordon
Luke Walton taking over for Kerr temporarily. I had the same thing happen to me some years ago and you really need to heal and take time to fully heal.
The Home/Season Opener is scheduled for Tuesday, October 27th against the New Orleans Pelicans on TNT HD. Hopefully the pregame Championship Banner unveiling and the Ring Ceremony will also be televised. -G
It'll be interesting to see if these two blasts from the recent past will somehow feature into tonight's ceremony: 2010 2012 -G
Most passionate fanbase... maybe not the most rational, but passionate. Besides, it's good to let owners know you expect results or they risk being in Double Jeopardy.
