"Myers confirms Warriors have interest in Roy" (Friday, 6/22/12) Knee injuries derailed Brandon Roy's career. Is he ready for a comeback? -G
I will take Brandon Roy in a HEARTBEAT. Who we drafting? I'm still head over heels for Klay Thompson, last year's pick, and will continue to be so until he inevitably signs with the Lakers after his rookie contract. (grrrr)
These Wilson Chandler for the 7th pick rumors bug me. Roy is one thing but enough with injured players. It's not like we have the Suns' medical staff. Let's keep the pick and try to mine something good out of this draft, please.
"Warriors select Harrison Barnes seventh overall in 2012 NBA Draft" (Thursday, 6/28/12) The Warriors brought Harrison Barnes to Golden State with the seventh overall pick in the 2012 Draft. -G
We killed it in this draft. Jerry West is a genius. He should be like, I dunno, the NBA logo or something.
"Warriors trade Wright to 76ers" (Tuesday, 7/10/12) Dorell Wright became expendable with the emergence of Brandon Rush and the drafting of Harrison Barnes. -G
Well, there were way too many SF's right now and Richard Jefferson's contract ain't going nowhere so it makes sense. Wright was pretty good two years ago, not so much last year. I was dreaming that Iggy was somehow magically coming the other way but instead we're getting back Edin Bavcic, a 6'11" forward from Bosnia. Wonder if he knows Ognjen Kuzmic?? Bavcic + Kuzmic = the Dubs "Bosnian Connection" in 2014.
It appears that the Warriors aren't done yet wheeling and dealing yet. "Myers: 'We're going to sign a player'" (Tuesday, 7/10/12) According to Bob Myers, the Warriors should be able to sign a free agent in addition to re-signing restricted free-agent Brandon Rush. -G
It'll certainly help reduce Stephen Curry's minutes some and thus reduce his chances for re-injury. "Warriors Acquire Veteran Guard Jarrett Jack From New Orleans Hornets" (Wednesday, 7/11/12) -G
Thanks. It was apparently a three-way trade between the Warriors, the 76ers (to whom Dorrell Wright was traded) and the Hornets. -G
"Warriors Announce Schedule For 2012-13 Season, Presented By Kaiser Permanente" (Thursday, 7/26/12) The Warriors 2012-13 home opener will take place on Friday, November 2 against the Memphis Grizzlies. (warriors.com photo) -G
Warriors close to re-signing Rush and signing Landry: http://www.csnbayarea.com/basketbal...-signing-Rush-Land?blockID=748531&feedID=5986 This is according to their agent. I hope it's true. That would make W's a very deep and flexible team for a change: Curry/Jack/Jenkins Thompson/Rush/Bazemore Barnes/Jefferson/Green Lee/Landry/Tyler Bogut/Biedrins/Ezeli Can't wait for the season. Bring on the Lakers!
"Warriors, Rush agree on two-year deal" (Tuesday, 7/31/12) Brandon Rush will get $8 million over two years with a player option for the second year. (AP) -G
