12-27. Jason Richardson finally returns after missing nine straight games because of injury... The Warriors finally win after losing nine straight games... Coincidence? -G
What is it with the Warriors this season (as well as the last decade)? In NBA Live 2005, I created myself (adjusted for NBA height, weight and skill, of course) and placed me as the starting point guard for the Warriors. So far in the season, the team is 7-2. So why can't the real-life Warriors do as well? -G
12-32. And not only were the Warriors once again without Speedy Claxton and Clifford Robinson, but today they were also without Troy Murphy. -G
So what did we learn tonight, Northern California basketball fans? I think my brother, the high school math teacher in San Jose, would put it this way: (Kings -Webber -Stojakovic -Mobley -Jackson)/(second game of a back-to-back) > (Warriors -Robinson -Claxton -Murphy)
Oh and if I could add one more thing, J-Rich was unbelievable tonight. He poured in 37 points and had a few highlight-reel dunks in the second half and OT. Still, Sactown's B-52 got one more point in the box score than Richardson... mostly because Big Bad Brad Miller can shoot free throws better than J-Rich. If there's one big glaring hole in Richardson's offensive game, that's it.
The fans have voted the Golden State Warriors' Jason Richardson's 2003 Dunk Contest effort as the best NBA Dunk Contest dunk of all-time (up to now, at least). Richardson also holds the #2 (2004) and #9 (2002) spots on the same list. -G
Slap me, Alice. The Warriors got a real point guard (Baron Davis) today, bonus points for the fact he and JRich are great friends.
In exchange for Baron Davis, the Warriors traded Speedy Claxton and Dale Davis to New Orleans. The Warriors also traded Eduardo Najera and a future first-round draft pick to Denver for Rodney White And Nikoloz Tskitishvili. -G
