No. With the flakiness of the rankings, I'm expecting the US to actually move up again. I think they're ranked way too high. They ought to be down about 10 places, IMHO.
hey there EDGAR, i was just wondering when your next update might be ,i was just really curious as to where CHILE might be sitting after our last set of qualifiers in south america.I'm sure we are gonna be ranked somewhere we havent been in a while ,maybe since '98. well anywayz, thanx for your constant updates ,i am sure many here are also thankfull to you for all the info you provide us year in and year out, keep up the great work
The top 10 is usually fairly accurate regardless of order, after that it gets hazy. International footy's just too competitive today.
Thanks for the nice words, guynice_101. I updated the rankings on June 12th, but didn't post them. Here you go: FIFA Ranking: July 2009 preview (III). FIFA Ranking: July 2009 probable ranking (III). Chile up to 26th. You were 6th in 98 - you've got some way to go...
So by probable, it's taking into account that Australia will most likely draw with Japan, but if Australia wins, will they get maximum points or is it more based on trial and error?(Sorry if i'm confusing you mate )
Yes, I have Australia vs Japan as a draw. Win - 886 points (good for 16th place in the probable ranking) Draw - 826 points (23rd) Loss - 796 points (29th).
Yes, you'll surely break in the top 20, no higher than 15th though. You must root against the US and Egypt at the Confed Cup in order to get to 15th. P.S. JLSA must rep me - Australia will be in the top 20
Thanks guys, no need for rep. It's just a joke between me and JLSA - he said he won't rep me again until Australia break into the top 20. It's not like I had something to do with it. Congratulations!
