I think you can see it in photo 10, it looks like the players enter at a lower level, that is flat with the pitch rather then Earthquakes Stadium where they walk down to the pitch.
Are you referring to the "cave" to the right of dead center? Could be, however, I found a video tour of the place and they made one reference to the player/field access and from the very limited shot it intimated coming down from above to get to the field. Maybe they come over the top of the concourse and then dive down underground a bit before entering the field.

Maybe the roof shape is similar, but, looks like the typical dug out bowl design where you walk in at the top of the lower section, (like Stanford). And it doesn't look like any field level suites. Probably a good 15 rows of seating in the lower section, (unlike the 3 at our stadium). And the lower section is bigger at the one end, probably planning on a nice wall of supporters there, likely with safe standing seating.
It's skinless like Avaya. And you're probably stuck with Budweiser and Schlafly in the Beers of the World area.
It’s not that far to the right..... Depending on your angle or seat, I still was looking straight at Alum Rock and the East Foothills...
The others are right, Falvo. From my old seats in section 112, which is the corner of the press box side and closed end, I could see the observatory on Mt Hamilton, looking diagonally just to the left of the visitor section at the open end. You wouldn't be able to see Mt. Hamilton from the view you posted. You are looking at mountains to the north of Mt. Hamilton. You'll notice that there is no observatory in your pics.
The point is , it’s not that far off as they are making it out to be. I was sitting with my uncle who lives on Porter Lane off of Alum Rock Ave. He pointed to a sun reflection off of a rooftop down the street from his house. It was easy to point out and we saw it easily. He said that same roof has been doing the same thing for years. He has lived there since 1970 so I’m sure he would know.
True, but on the bright side, it's damn cool that the City of San José flag was displayed out there alongside the U.S. flag. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
That flag has been around a lot longer than the Los Angeles Galaxy has. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
