    I agree with gooalaso.

I like Ching up top, though. He is usually a very strong presence. That being said, DeRo should NOT have been subbed Sunday for sure, arguably Saturday as well. Ching should have been the sub.

As I stated in another post, Brian could barely walk last Sunday. As soon as I saw him on Saturday, it was clear that he was not (again) 100%.

So, do you think MLS even has a chance of re-signing DeRo? When they say he wants to "test the waters," that doesn't usually bode well for returning, but he's not LD (and doesn't make LD money), so maybe MLS can afford to give him an appropriate raise and retain his services.

The Quakes need to keep DeRo. I also think that he should get a starting position every game next year. Many other players can go to be able to open up salary room to pay the man.

Does anybody watch that "Lost" show on ABC? Don't you think that Saidd guy looks like DeRo? We like him cuz we think he looks like DeRo.

I too very much hope he doesn't go abroad. Next year should be his year to earn a starting spot as a regular.

I just LOVED that goal. It blew everyone away. I am glad to see they got in the dance AND that they clipped to the sidelines and the fans. My only complaint 1/ San Jose Mercury sucks 2/ MLS should NOT have edited it further by eliminating the guys on the sideline shots hi-fiving & jumping.

    GREAT AWESOME GOAL DeRO!! Yahoooo...

Sounds like this Dwaine De Roario's worth a look at then, because he is currently on Trial for the week at Nottingham Forest the Club I support in Great Britain, sounds like a talent, we had Ben Olsen on loan a Few years ago from DC United.

So how good is Dwaine, sounds a Gritty player

Nottingham Forest have decided not to extend their interest in Canadian international Dwayne De Rosario.

The 26 year old striker, who plays for MLS side San Jose Earthquakes, has spent the past 10 days on trial at The City Ground and played in a behind-closed-doors practice match against Peterborough today.

Acting Manager Mick Harford said: "We've had a good look at Dwayne and decided that he's not what we're looking for."

That is the best news I've gotten all week. (And if I celebrated Christmas, would prob be the best Christmas present.) What can we do to keep him here?

Hire a reggae band to play when he gets off the plane.
Stand in front of the airplane exit with signs saying, "Bob Marley and DeRo Forever!"
Any other expressions of love for Pwamme that we can come up with.

I can't see Dero staying here if he's gonna keep coming off the bench. I want him to stay as bad as the next person but I don't see it possible, especially if he has other options in Europe.

I agree, but with LD gone, I would be surprised if he doesn't get a starting role. But I'm sure if he gets another shot at Europe he's going to take it.

Since there will be major changes in the midfield and forward lines, it seems like the Quakes will have to call on DeRo to help reshape the offense. It could be a great growth opportunity. He's only 26 and has changed his game quite a bit in the last 3 years or so. I remember how he used to be the kind of forward who just took shots all the time. Now he also looks to make a pass, altho somewhat often, no one makes a run for him, which means that they don't believe he will pass it. But he could work on that.

I have been out of touch.

Why is Michael Bradley talking like DeRo has left the building?

Yeah! I had the same question...

I have yet to see anything new. Also, an article quoting Agoos in a separate thread implied DeRo would be gone.

You may want to bring a lot of toilet paper to wipe the crap off you at the games next year. It won't be Clash level of crap, but be prepared for a lot of low scoring games and complaining about Onstad not being Joe Cannon... ;)

Hey, don't be silly! We're going to find lots of great players in the combine we're running at West Valley, and we're going to draft a bunch of great players, and gAlexi and Dom have MLS trying to sign a couple of Cancela like players and striker that's even better than Cerritos, and we're getting Wade back! And Chelsea is going to buy our team and they'll sack gAlexi right off! And we'll get a couple of youngsters from their developmental program! And our own SSS!! 2005 is going to Rule!

And if you'll send me $100 I'll mail you some of what I've been smoking today! ;)

    GO QUAKES!!
