Medellin -- all of Colombia -- is super cheap, so a 50% pay cut is actually about a 2x pay increase compared to the bay area. I can't speak to their parties, but the coffee is excellent. Probably one of my favorite vacations ever. If you haven't been, go!
I wonder if that means we reduced his salary by 50% when we resigned him for the loan. Or are we paying the other 50%?
Not horrible, but a good percentage of his goals were PK's. I think 4 of his 13 goals were PKs. So 9 goals from run of play, while Judd has 11 in half of a season. And he led the team in shots by a huge amount, like double what anyone else had. And he played a lot of hero ball - trying to beat 3 guys and losing the ball in midfield, then falling down and raising his hand to the ref. He's a good player, but getting long in the tooth and I just feel like he'd be a vibe kill at this point, for this team. I think Bruce will try to do a permanent transfer for him, and will probably be willing to take a pretty dismal amount. He'll be 32 next year and does not exactly seem to be setting the pitch on fire in Colombia.
