I know some of the people that are investing in the club and quite frankly... i see it as a political stunt. Elections are coming up so I wouldnt get my hopes up. thats is just me
I really hate the Burillo group. All they do is buy franchises and then sell them. I think at one point Grupo Pegasso has owned just about all the franchises in 1ra A. They should leave Azteca Stadium because they are like cucarachas.

Now that all you Americanistas are here do you think America will win the Copa de Campeones de la Concacaf next year? (Im a chivas fan but i like you Americanistas dont take me as an enemy)
Re: The Official Club America Thread #6/Forito Oficial del Club de Fútbol América #6[ Diga "No" a PPV!
I'm starting to get scared that el piojo might leave, it would really hurt our chances of winning the title again. He has a clausula in his contract that states that he could leave at anytime to go to a Europeon team. It is the same type of contract that Rober De Pinho had.
Re: The Official Club America Thread #6/Forito Oficial del Club de Fútbol América #6[ Damn who would of thought we would hate to see him leave.
Re: The Official Club America Thread #6/Forito Oficial del Club de Fútbol América #6[ that's right. Azcarraga it's talking to Clear channel entertainment for PPV events.
Re: The Official Club America Thread #6/Forito Oficial del Club de Fútbol América #6[ I think your team is deeper than one player... It's still doable.
Re: The Official Club America Thread #6/Forito Oficial del Club de Fútbol América #6[ Exactly, Piojo played great and had a hand in giving America the title, but he wasnt the sole reason. This hurts the depth at the forward position, but with Navia comming back and Padilla and Kleber still there, they should be fine. This may also give another young kid a chance to show his stuff in the Concacaf Cup or the Copa Sudamericana when the starters need a rest.
Did anybody see this new rule for the upcoming season ???? http://www.esto.com.mx/050706/futbol/19futbol.asp At the very bottom, it says that each club must use a Mexican player under 20 years, 11 months for at least 1530 minutes throughout the season (it doesn't have to be the same player.) If they fail to do so, it will cost them 3 points at the end of the season. The question is does anybody at this point know of what players on AMERICA that might be their juveniles ????
ochoa, lojero and gomez are all players that saw playing time last season and that fall under those parameters. Ochoa is 19. Lojero is still 20. The other guy i want to say is 19-20
I completely forgot that Memo is still only 19. Can't wait to see what the next camada looks like though. Considering how the club has emphasized fuerzas basicas and the return of el AMERICANISMO, I'm curious as to how the new crop turns out. It's nice to see Infante and Becerra come back also as they are productos hecho en Coapa as well ...
The one guy I REALLY want to see back is Santiago Fernandez. I think he is 20 years old now going on 21, but the kid had talent. I was p1ssed when the Ruggeri administration let him go. He is Barcelona playing for a reserve team. He did say in an interview that he was extremely happy that Lapuente was back with America and that he owed alot to him. Hopefully, Lapuente can get him back for us
we wont have problems with that rule since Ochoa (considering he is healthy) will use up most of those 1530 minutes. BUT, I do think Ochoa will miss some games due to national team duty and now I am understandig why Ibarra was brought in. So, I suspect that Ochoa will miss 2-4 games and those are 180-360 valuable minutes that a youngster can utilize. I thought lojero was a good player. I heard from a buddy that last year, Tena's kid practiced a couple days with the reserves, so it would be interesting to see if he finally gets a chance this season.
