The Official Carlos Gruezo thread

Gruezo plays well for the first 30 minutes or so in most matches it seems to me. I wonder about his fitness.

He stops giving a shit when he realizes all his hard work is going into the black hole of an abyss known as the Galaxy.

I wouldn't give a shit either if I knew Jeremy Ebobisse was the guy I knew had to score for us.

 

Sub at 30 minutes? Gotta think outside the box here.

 

If that’s true, then we don’t need him on the team. If it’s just that he’s crap and his best days are behind him, then we don’t need him on the team.

Either way, we should ditch him. And Luchi continuing to start him, and leave him in, is a problem.

Didn't Alfredo Morales play dmid for the championship winning NYCFC, what 4 years ago? Or did he have a different role? Either way, he couldn't be less effective than Gruezo, could he? And he's "only" 33! He doesn't look fast, but Gruezo isn't either. What do we have to lose?

 

Yeah, give Morales a shot. See how he does. He won’t be worse than Gruezo.

2. Gotta blame obviously Gruezo himself but also Luchi for bringing in a "friend of Luchi" and Leitch for letting Luchi do that with a DP slot
3. Are his percentiles even worse now than they were at the end of last season? Not ideal!

Ecuador fans are done with him.

I've been a gruezo defender, he was solid for us last season, but he has fallen off big time this year.

 

Hope he’s not expelled. Don’t want him coming back too soon.

 

Funny thing is even the comments are bad. No one seems to rate him and most want him gone from the NT.
He came on last night against mexico and played poorly, what a shock. On one play he had a forward (mina) all alone on the left band that would've taken him into the box pretty much alone and he over kicked it by 20 feet over his head with no one pressuring him. Even the announcers couldn't believe it.

 

We should have traded or transferred him sometime last year when I was the only one who noticed how useless he was. Now everybody knows and we may have to buy him out or be stuck with him thru 2025.

 

Well hopefully at least one LigaMX sporting director was impressed by Gruezo's performance in eliminating Mexico... all it takes is one!
