I assume Danger and Passarelli are feverishly working on their pronunciation of “Equatoguinean” as we speak….
Here’s a great goal by new #Quakes74 signing Carlos Akapo pic.twitter.com/7YPVSc12Qp— Jake Pisani (@JPisani28) August 5, 2022
Just looked it up on Transfermarkt, that is his one and only professional goal... He also has 4 assists total, in 215 games.
Yeah, we are all tending to evaluate him on the basis of his defense, forgetting about how much we have, in the past, valued the offensive contributions of RB's. For example, can he cross the ball? Based on his assists numbers, seems like he does not do it often or does it poorly. I guess I'm hanging onto this thread that he's pretty fast and can help us deal with transition breaks by the opposition. Also, even though he's rated as "weak" in passing on whoscored, how bad can it really be if he can play in La Liga?
If he helps stop the hemorrhaging of goals, I will be happy. Don’t expect him to contribute offense. That’s what Nathan’s for!
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022–23_Cádiz_CF_season Hmmm, was he really on Cadiz? You can toggle between seasons…
An elaborate hoax! (Or not). https://fbref.com/en/squads/ee7c297c/2021-2022/roster/Cadiz-Roster-Details
He's not listed for the 22/23 season, because he's not on the team for the 22/23 season, which hasn't started yet.
But via google you can get the opinion of people that actually know who he is and have seen him play, and then make your own assessment. "The Aftershock guys" have an assessment of both acquisitions (Akapo and Rodrigues) but it's behind a paywall. There's probably some good info there, though I find their assessments and opinions a bit wonky at times.
