Hair doesn't necessarily help make you look younger if it's gray or starting to thin. In that case you might be better off shaving it. I try to wear hats a lot these days :). A beanie is best because it hides most of the hair. At a gig last spring I wore a beanie and someone said he thought I was in my 30's. Couldn't tell if he was being serious though - or just being nice.

    Nope!

No way am I shaving my head, or even cutting my hair short. I'm starting to get a little thin, in one spot. I'm keeping my hair long until the thin spot reaches critical proportions! And most of my hair is still brown, but my beard is white.

    Old, and getting older!!

Interview with Pochettino from a couple of days ago.. Highly recommend it.
It's in Spanish with English subtitles.

Poch has the upper hand in the argument for now, but we are still in the "interstitial period". We'll see what happens in the WC. We could be back to "didn't understand the culture" if we have one bad game and don't get out of our group or lose the first elimination round game badly.

Basically if we do poorly, it's "didn't understand the culture!". If we do well, it's "he's bringing winning culture to the US!". We can retrofit any narrative for whatever the results turn out to be. They are sitting there, handy, awaiting use!

Well MLS is what matters around here... What Quakes fan wouldn't take Nancy over Bruce Arena?

Unfortunately the timing is not great. I guess the best hope is that we have a bad year and we sack Bruce and Nancy is somehow still available (unlikely). Of course the next question is would he want to come here. Let's say that we have new ownership by then, and that they want to ratchet up. That's my dream scenario. Chance of happening: about 0.02%.

If Bruce is the architect of this offseason, he needs to be fired! We've brought in one draft pick, let two of our best playes go for nothing in return, sign an Academy Player and immediately loan him to San Diego FC.

This is our braintrust at work?

Shouldn't Arena be in like South America or somewhere, scouting players or getting deals done? We barely have a roster with around a month to go until the regular season starts.

Well, that's one thing that didn't happen. The Tomo to San Diego thing was a joke. But he should still probably be fired because we're a week into preseason training already and we have what, 6 open senior roster spots, we've lost a DP and our best player (with no compensation), our top non-PK goal scorer (with no compensation), 2 veteran CBs, and we still have our GK that Bruce doesn't like. Oh, and no GM to help do the grunt work to fill those roster spots.

Somebody wake bruce up and tell him the season starts really soon but wake him gently, at his age the news might kill him.

Just based on the number of Hispanic players that Bruce has let go, I kinda doubt he is going to scout in South America. Maybe he will scout a few more Asians or Asian heritage? He’s got 2 of those, right?

    Hey Bruce! You suck!

Bruce is in charge of everything, so why are we seeing lots of action? If Bruce is so great, how come we haven’t sign guys to replace the guys we cut? Why don’t we have trialists in camp? Are the Quakes II guys training with the first team? Why the F! aren’t we doing anything?!

We’re total shit and we’re going to have a shit season.

    We’re F-ed!

    Go Quakesfans!!

So Bruce say one or two more guys before the start of the season?!

Timo won't arrive until near the start of the season?

We could have three or four open roster spots to start the season?! And who the hell is going to play defense? We're going to four in the back? Something like:

    Costa - - Romney - Munie - - Jones?

That's a waste of Jones' talent.

    F-me!!

    Go Quakesfans!!

From what I have seen at Leipzig he made really good work with Poulsen in a 5 - 1 - 2 - 2 with him more central/left as a ST and he did not seem to do as well as only a winger.

Assuming Chicho is leaving and Bruce expecting Niko to be an important player, this is what I am assuming we will do. If the new player is an attacking mid, which I dont think so, that might make me think Werner will be the sole ST. But seems like he will need some support up there. Also I think our defense if we dont play 3 CBs we are gonna get smoked we dont have a good enough defenders for a 2 CB formation.

    Werner - (New Addition)
    Tsakiris
    Leroux Viera
    Costa Roberts Romney Munie Jones

Whatever we do, I sure as hell hope that Timo is great. We're going to need it.

And we're going to need lots of other players to step up. Oh, and we need four to six more starters, and that doesn't include replacing our fragile GK.

    Go Quakesfans!!

I have lost faith in Arena, I think he is past his prime, and we're going to get completely smoked this year. We are going to be a contender for the Wooden Spoon (Yeah, we won something!)

Oh well, that's still better than 2005 when we won the "Bob Irsay Memorial Moving Vans in the Night" award...
