“Each year we see young breakout players who previously shined at the MLS College Showcase go on to make a meaningful impact at the first-team level,” said Alecko Eskandarian, Vice President, Player Relations & Player Development Wow, Alecko Eskandarian? That's a name I haven't heard in a long time. Didn't he score a brace or something in MLS Cup in like 1862? He's still around!?? I think our days of just being lazy and picking a few Stanford guys and calling it a day are over. I think Bruce will pick best players available in the draft (which, to be fair, could wind up being a Stanford guy or two). We didn't pick any Stanford guys last year either.
My guess is our top couple picks will go to defenders...another CB and a left side fullback/wingback.
Yeah, I think that might be right. It was the 2004 MLS Cup where is scored a brace - two goals back to back in a matter of minutes.

Interesting that they don't show Max Floriani, in all of those SuperDraft guy pictures. And he was our top pick last year, #2 in the whole draft.
Maybe Max Floriani didn’t call anyone after having been picked in the draft? GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
What’s up with Will Richmond? I can’t find anything online but I can’t believe he gave up the game at 23/24…
