The Quakes are having their equipment sale on Monday Dec-16-2024 @ 1:00 PM. I’m going to be in San Jose around that time, but is it worthwhile to go to the sale if I can’t get there until 2:30?
Depends what you’re looking for. Training gear from the stars, and in prior years GK kits (now generally available), go quickly. Otherwise, if they are still selling at 2:30, you should be alright.
So is it only player-worn or player-used equipment? I was only interested in finding myself a blue-colored quakes jacket for rainy games… In a woman’s small…
Yeah, maybe. Worth taking a look. The "equipment" sales sometimes have discounted stuff you would find in the merchandise shop during the season. In the past I have purchased, on separate occasions, a couple winter coats at half-off. One tan-and-gray (I'm colorblind, so don't quote me) for $75, which I keep in Buffalo for forays back during winter, and the other all black for $100, which I keep here but never find the need to wear. True tale: I was walking down the street in the (Josh) Allentown District near downtown Buffalo about three years ago, and I guy pulled up in his car, rolled down his window and was effusive about my coat. Where did I get it? He had to have one! Pointed to the logo on my breast and said you gotta go to Cali for a Quakes equipment sale. He was crestfallen. Bar Bill Tavern in East Aurora, circa 2021. One of world’s best wing spots. Featured during recent Niners game.
You should have sold that smitten guy the jacket off your back! Would have created a Quakes fan for life! OK, I guess i will drop by that sale.

Letter from Bruce Arena today — sorry if this is already posted elsewhere ———- Dear xxx, Thank you for your loyalty and commitment to the Earthquakes! The technical staff and I are already hard at work to put together a team that you and the entire community are proud to support. Club ownership and management have assured me they will provide improved resources on and off the field. It will take a lot of hard work to reach our goals, but I’ve never been one to shy away from a challenge. There is enormous potential here. I’m excited to be part of a club with a storied history and an incredible home atmosphere. I look forward to seeing you at PayPal Park for the biggest schedule in club history, which will be announced tomorrow. Thank you again for your continued support! Go Quakes! Bruce Arena Sporting Director & Head Coach

Johnny Moore interviewed: 1:57:24 audio https://goodseatsstillavailable.com...th-national-soccer-hall-of-famer-johnny-moore
This interview had several details that were not well-known. BTW, in the 2nd hour of the In the second hour he gives background info about AEG’s attempt to sell the EQ to Club America and also about the return of an EQ team to San Jose after the Houston move. When he talks about fans with law degrees getting involved he is talking about Soccer Silicon Valley (“SSV”) and particularly Colin M. and Don G. . He also mentions speaking at a "banquet" about needing soccer people not baseball people running the Club. I think he is talking about the SSV fundraising dinner held outdoors at the San Jose History Museum.
Will this game equal more revenue in ticket sales for Fisher & the Quakes or just Bay Area FC and US Soccer?
Fish is not gonna donate the stadium for the event. Don’t know if he would get any ticket sale based cut or just a lump sum for use of the venue.
