As more time passes, I'm sure they can be replaced and most likely will be sooner or later. I don’t see how anyone on this roster can be complacent.
No MLS team can lose more than one player (if any) in the expansion draft anyway. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
With the MLS Cup final now over, this is the league’s next big event. And in only four days, no less. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES -G
This is far from a "big event"... hell at this point even the superdraft isn't a big event It is AN event though
Guessing the Quakes don't have to make any deals like this given the roster is crap lol 1866231233782698111 is not a valid tweet id
“2024 MLS Expansion Draft: Eligible players & how to watch” (MLSsoccer.com - Tuesday, 12/10/24) GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
There's definitely a handful of good players for SD to at least get some very good backups if not starters.
I hope they don’t take Ricketts. Highly doubtful because I think he’s played about 0 MLS minutes. Edit - he played in one game.
That was our starting lineup, plus first off the bench guys, in most games minus Rodrigues, Espinoza and Hernan. Yarbrough/JT Akapos ???? Costa/Tanner Marie ???? Yueill Gruezo Pelle ???? Jebo/Judd
It's tough to even go through these lists because there's so much to consider in terms of individual circumstances but some names that might not be bad picks (not sure their contract situations) Gressel, Picault, Rusnak, Fagundez, Ilie, Salloi... You can see why Columbus traded an international roster slot to protect their players, Dejuan Jones, Matan, Yaboah, etc. they would almost certainly have lost one. Also interesting to see which DPs (eg Gruezo) are unprotected, doubt any of them get picked but just in case guys like Insigne, Vanzeir, Swiderski, etc. had any doubts as to where they stand lol
I'd add Matias Rojas from miami. He was player of the year in Argentina two seasons ago. Went to Corinthians in Brazil, things didn't go as well. Miami got him for free. If we would play Hernán as a second Forward (as been mentioned here by some) he's a great AM.
I appreciate that this draft is scheduled to begin at 7:30pm, so I can watch it comfortably at home rather than having to sneak a peak at work early-mid afternoon like for the last expansion draft. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
As will her neighbor’s kids. Hopefully the noise from the expansion draft doesn’t wake them all up. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
