Klinsmann wants his European coaches to keep a close eye on the Europe based players while he focuses on the domestic players in Korea with Cha Du-ri and Michael Kim, rather than constantly flying out to Europe to keep tabs himself. And besides, the players and the coaching staff don't stay together for so long unlike club teams so it's understandable.
Ui-jo will get called up though, but Paik Seung-ho is a must. With Hwang Hee-chan still recovering, we'll likely see Lee Jae-sung and or Jeong Woo-young starting on the wings while Na Sang-ho as a super sub. Kwon Chang-hoon still hasn't gotten his form up so I'd omit him from the squad and call up Um Won-sang instead.

Park Ji Soo isn’t called up which is a bit surprising. Glad to see HHC score a goal for Wolves but would like Jurgen to ease him in during training and the friendlies. Probably ain’t happening but I would want HHC to pick up his run of form pre-injury even to the expense of coming off the bench in the friendlies.

I get HHS but Park Ji Soo been in the NT scene for a cool minute. Also Park Ji Soo been playing better every game since he came to Portugal so that’s why I think it’s a surprising omit. Also does anyone rate Kwon Kyung Won?
I'm bummed Hong Hyun-seok didn't get called up, but it's awesome to see Lee Ki-je finally get called up since Lee Ki-je > Kim Jin-su and Hong Chul on any given day. And, although we all saw it coming that Ui-jo was gonna get called up regardless of form but he's been back on a decline ever since losing playing time at Bordeaux it doesn't warrant a call up.
Never been a fan of Kwon Kyung-won but he's proved to be a good backup at the WC, but once his form dips, then he's back to being garbage as usual.
I hope Kwon Chang Hoon picks up his play and form. Because Kwon played in the Bundesliga, I’m afraid Klinsmann will call him up constantly despite it might being a bit underserved. Hopefully it won’t become the new version of the Nam Tae Hee/Bento relationship.
Yeah well, Bento dropped desert Messi in a heartbeat the moment he spotted Na Sang-ho lol. With that being said, Klinsmann will definitely have his favorites but I don't see Kwon Kyung-won being one of them. I just hope Hong Hyun-seok comes into picture once Klinsmann gets accustomed to the team.
