Watch him with back to goal. Almost always a soft touch, rarely loses it. Regardless I think Charlie Davis is wrong that touch his is biggest challenge. It's that he tries to hard to get the ball on his left foot, and that leaves too many chances wanting. To be fair haven't seen that happen much recently. He's been mostly crashing the box and doing first time or one-touch finishes, and he's been good at it.
Ok, everyone who thought Jebo had a good game tonight, please raise your hand! Maybe you forgot, but at the start of this season, every ball Jebo touched would rebound at least 5 feet. He has been looking much better as this season has progressed, but tonight it seemed like he regressed. Maybe you’re right and tonight, he didn’t prove he had a bad first touch. But he also didn’t prove that he had a good touch and good control of the ball.
Honestly I didn't notice bad touches from him tonight but I might have missed some. Generally I think his touch is pretty good. He would have had the go-ahead goal if it wasn't for a great sliding save by Parker I think it was.
Great defensive play, but, there is 256 square feet of goal mouth, and Jebo put the ball in the roughly 6 sq feet of it that would result in a save. 96.57% of the goal mouth was open.
Monday morning center forwarding. Come on, how is Jebo supposed to know there’s a dude flying in to slide block the goal, and at what angle and what timing? It was a great defensive play. That’s a goal 98% of the time.
Just in case it’s not obvious, what I meant is, putting the ball where Jebo put it is a goal 98% of the time. The other 2%, a defender flies in and makes a great play.
Really wondering what the heck is up. If it's new players why did CL say yesterday that they're "looking". If it's coaching announcement, what does that mean to the team today? If not Alex, does he take the rest of the season, and then what is his motivation at that point? If the new coach comes in soon, then it's yet another changeover, etc. The thing that makes the most sense is - sign new players now (but short contracts - don't get stuck in), coaching change at the end of the season.
So some dude created a website to track the most notable person from your city and Wondo is in it (you'll need to traverse to Danville): https://tjukanovt.github.io/notable-people
I’m waiting for the Dos Equis commercial - “The most interesting man in San Jose”… Stay thirsty, my friends!
The Soccer Legacy Collection at History San Jose will have a rump exhibit among the other museum collections at History Park starting August 12: Valley Memories: Curiosities & Treasures from History San José’s Collection Opening August 12, 2022 Gallery Hours: Daily 12-4pm History San José manages one of the largest collections of regional history artifacts in California, preserving the Santa Clara Valley’s collective memory. Originated in 1949 as a temporary exhibition inside a replica State House building in downtown San Jose, the City’s historic collection has grown over the decades thanks to its original curator, Clyde Arbuckle, and the thousands of Valley residents and businesses who have donated to the San Jose Historical Museum and History San Jose. The collection now represents not only the Valley’s innovative spirit – from Native American baskets and tools, to agricultural equipment, to locally-pioneered pre-silicon chip technologies – but also the everyday lives and interests of its citizens. As History San José approaches the museum’s 75th anniversary in 2024, we are taking this opportunity to highlight the breadth of the collection, and engage visitors to History Park with a selection of the familiar – and not-so-familiar – artifacts usually kept behind locked doors in our warehouse. From vintage motorcycles, radios and cameras, to games, sports jerseys, fashion and food products, there will be something to interest everyone – and hopefully spark a memory…or two!
