Glad to get a point at Azadi, which has been never an easy task. Credit to Paulo Bento for his well-prepared game plan and players for execution. They got their job done. I was impressed with the way Jung Woo-young disruppted the Iranian rhythm at the midfield. He had been highly criticized for losing control at critical moments. We could find nothing negative from him tonight. Kim Min-jae has just proved why he is called 'the Asian Monster' once again. He shut down Azmoun for the entire game. Taremi and Jahanbakhsh also had some trouble against him. But Bento could have still managed the game better though. His stubborness gave the Iranians room to breathe and re-organize, eventually costing potential 2 extra points. His late substitution still bothers me. I know it is meangless to bring 'what if' but I really wonder what if he had pulled tired Hwang Ui-jo and Lee Jae-sung out around 70th minute. They could barely sprint at the moment. Hats off to Iran for not giving up and not dropping any points. The equalizer well demonstrated their willingness to keep their unbeaten streak against us alive. It was a quite evenly matched game for both sides while they played at their full strength. Good luck for the rest of your campaign. There is no doubt both teams will finish top 2 and book their tickets to Qatar, respectively.
