korea found success with using two striker formations but bento reverting back to lone forward nonsense again. in two striker formations most of the key players play in their natural positions and most importantly son heungmin can play closer to goal
Why dont you stop supporting our NT instead of whining about everything when Bento didnt even do anything yet?
Different styles/roles, but I'd rather see LSW/HHC/HUJ/MSM over JDW. I am wondering how YSY is doing these days. He used to be good but went downhill pretty quickly. Sad KJS/PJH still recovering.
Yeah, but the thing is that the level of competition and the level of football at the AG is a lot lower than the national team level, so his performance at the AG won't mean squat if he can't uphold it at senior level. Again, not saying that he doesn't deserve a call up, but the likelihood of him choking again is certainly high, so I don't really see him replacing Ji Dong-won.
Ji also hasn't shown much with Darmstaat, and he hasn't performed well wearing our jersey in a long time neither. Granted he has made headlines during his U23 days too but looking at form, I think right now it's Hwang Ui Jo > Ji Dong Won
Not blaming Bento for anything. I'm just pointing out that it is obvious that the list was made by the KFA. - No Suk Hyun-jun - The affinity for Jung Woo-young and Jang Hyun-soo - etc.
I don't know what you mean by that, but in my book, even though this is a mickey mouse tournament. Why didn't others step up then to finish?
And also even comparing Suk Hyun Jun to Hwang Ui Jo. It's natural for Hwang to be called up since Suk's positioning as a No. 9 is not as good as Hwang. Hwang is able to get into positions to score inside the box with faster decision making. He stepped up when noone else could in this mikey mouse tourney. (Including Hwang Hee Chan)
We'll give him a pass this time. But if he calls up Nam Tae-hee over Lee Kang-in for the Asian Cup, I'll know he's full of shit and won't last very long.
Hwang Eui-jo is doing this against 18-21 year olds. In his last 14 senior call ups, Hwang Eui-jo has managed to scored 1 goal (against Jamaica). He couldn't even score against the likes of Laos, Myanmar, Lebanon, Thailand, Syria, and Kuwait.
Is it just me or does the inclusion of Hwang Eui-Jo, Nam Tae-hee and Jang Hyun-soo give me flashbacks to Stielike era?
Yeah, I undertsand that, and I wasn't meaning any offense when I replied to your comment, just adding to the fact that Bento hasn't been in Korea for more than a week, so before anyone spits out any criticisms, they should understand the picture being KFA recommendation + a few handpicked selection from Bento himself.
I honestly believe Hwang Eui Jo is the best option up top other than Son at the moment. Lol Ji Dong Won has not done shit in a long time for us and is extremely underwhelming. Hopefully in time for the Asian Cup, we can have Paik Seung Ho + Lee Seung Woo + Lee Kang In and I really hope for Hwang Hee Chan to find his form to finish off those chances. And we will see if Yun Suk Young has improved since his old days... And Nam Tae Hee, maybe his last chance? Excited for the Kim Min Jae + Kim Young Kwon combo in the back though.
Nam Tae-hee has been with the senior NT since 2011. I think he has had enough chances to prove himself lmao.
Hwang Eui Jo scores a hattrick against Bahrain U21 and people think he's better than JDW/SHJ He had one good game in the AG and that was vs Iran U21. The inclusion of Nam Tae Hee, Jang Hyun Soo and Jung Woo Young is frustrating but I guess KFA had suggested them. The exclusion of Han Chan Hee and Suk Hyun Jun is pity, but maybe they'll get featured in future. Kim Mun Hwan and Hwang In Beom? Yes!!! Give younger players a chance.
The following players need to be included after next month's friendly matches: Han Chan-hee, Suk Hyun-jun, Choi Young-jun, Baek Seung-ho, Lee Kang-in, Kim Jin-ya, Kim Jung-min, and maybe Na Sang-ho. Park Joo-ho is set to return next month, so our LB position is set, then all we need is Ko Yo-han back and our RB will also be set. Won't see Kwon Chang-hoon till later next year.
